Would you do a similar hamper for each family, or...

I have two brothers. Bill and Ben.

Bill has a wife and 4 children (all teenager +)
Bob has a wife and 1 child (also teenager)

I thought I'd send a nice food hamper to each family for christmas - this sort of thing

Do I spend the same on each family? Or does Bill and his family get a bigger hamper than Ben?

How would you do it?

PS - bonus question - any tips on lovely, unusual or special hampers gratefully received.

Loads of different/alternative hampers around, I'll have a browse and get back to you.

I'd stick with exactly the same hamper for each brother but I'd include £10 notes or book token for each child too. (though I guess that won't work if you are ordering this from afar).

Send them both the same Hamper but maybe a gift token for the children that way the bigger family gets a little more! If you are veering towards the more expensive hampers have a look at carluccios - I ordered some there last yr and have again this yr for our team at work! They are lovely and luxurious without being full of odd items no one uses!

Bloody hell, you can buy a hamper for £1000 at John Lewis.

What's your rough budget OP?

I know!! If you want a giggle go and check out the Harrods gift hamper selection.

Budget is... well, that's the crux of it. Do they have the same budget?

I suppose between 50 and 100 pounds.

I would do roughly the same, maybe add £10 worth extra of stuff to 4 children family in terms of extra snacks added.

Popcorn comes in 101 flavours at the moment and seems a good filler. One bag added to smaller, 2 to larger family for example. Same amount of wine (bottle each),

Of course, the other thing is that the big family eat everything. And the small family are not really that into food. Perhaps a hamper isn't the best idea?

But I am utterly defeated by trying to buy Christmas gifts for teenage boys I see once every 3 years. I love them dearly and I have NO IDEA what to get them. I don't even know any teenage boys in real life.

And Amazon tokens are... well, what I always do. Plus a board game for them to stuff in the cupboard play as a family.
