If you could only have one Christmas cookbook which would you have?

I have the GBBO and the Sarah Raven Christmas books and I've cooked nothing from either - going to treat myself this year as we have lots of guests over the season and I want to be prepared!

Nigella Feast. I use lots of the recipes (snow flecked brownies are yum...). But the other sections are great too, so it's not just a Christmas book.

If nothing else, Nigella's Turkey-cooking times are much shorter than others, so you can stay in bed longer 😀

A really old favourite of mine is Cooking for Christmas by Josceline Dimbleby circa 1980 or so.
A great recipe for a knockout stuffing.

I'm afraid I agree about the Sarah Raven one. I was really enthusiastic about it one year until I tried the recipes. Never, ever again. Every single one of them went wrong (and I am a reasonably good cook).

Nigella all the way! Her Christmas book is Nigella at her best imho! I use the recipes at lots of other times of the year too.

All the Nigella stuff is online.

I have Delia for basics/essentials and nigella for showing off. You can pick the original 90s Delia Christmas up second hand quite easily. I got mine in a charity shop and I am always seeing it around. I don't think there were many changes in the reprint.

The Christmas part of Nigella Feast - possibly my favourite cookbook ever. The recipes for left over turkey are gorgeous (bang bang turkey, and some Vietnamese noodle salad) and are now a tradition in our house!

You are bad people- just ordered myself a copy of feast (the old version, not the updates 2014) for £2.57 used on Amazon including prime delivery. Cheaper than the Christmas good food which I also have so a bargain really.

Another vote for Nigella! Delia always scared me for some reason Blush

I thought Nigellas Christmas offering was satire?

Macaroni cheese made with cream, no you've taken that too far love. Pretty pictures though.

Nigella fan here. Just opening the book puts me in the mood for Christmas. I am also very fond of my ancient copy of "Coping with Christmas" by Fanny Cradock. There is so much more in there beyond her occasionally barmy recipes. Not much point in recommending buying it though, Amazon have only one paperback copy and want £100 for it. I shall cherish mine even more lovingly now.
