Just wondering what the average people spend on dc's at Christmas?

Baby is due Christmas day but I've spent £30 on presents with no guarantee that she will even be here ! Although I don't think there's a actual set amount anyone should spend to be honest I know one parent who spends £300 on each child absolute madness

We don't have a set amount. We just buy what we know they will like and we can afford. My eldest is 10. She has had about £200 spent on her. Youngest at moment is 6 and she has had about £150. Have 2 shared gifts as well which came to about £20. Have a baby due to be born via section on 22nd December. We are going to wrap a couple of things he would have had anyway but so our youngest girl does not question why Santa 🎅 has not got him anything. Probably £30-40 on him

I aim for £300 each, but it's probably closer to £500 for the DDs this year as they've both needed new tablets and bikes, DS hasn't got a 'big' present this year, so his has come in at around £250 I think, but like pp has said I think it evens out over the years so I don't bother matching what I spend on them- it's more what they want and need that particular year.

i have one Ds to buy for and the amount varies year by year depending on what he really wants. this year he's having a desktop computer and all the bits to go with it so this year i'm spending a lot more than i have in previous years but next year he won't get as much spent on him as he'll get upgrades to his desktop from this year rather than a whole new system

My nieces and nephews, I have a set amount i spend on each of them each year but they always do well from it, I like to get the most i can for my money that isnt just tat they will be bored of in five minutes after opening.
