Just that really! Do you wrap everything individually or just pop the things in the stocking?

Always wrapped, and each DC has their own roll of paper - it avoids confusion when everything is tipped out.

Wrapped (badly) in red tissue paper. I bought a 10year supply from Amazon for a fiver!

ToastieRoastie · 20/11/2016 09:01

Wrapped too. In tissue paper so easier for me to wrap!

BlackHillsofDakota · 20/11/2016 09:05

All wrapped here and I hate it. As a child ours were never wrapped but dh's were. When we had kids he insisted everything must be wrapped and I went along with it. Every year I curse having to wrap so much but now we've started the tradition we have to keep it going.

Chillywhippet · 20/11/2016 09:12

Tissue paper with no sellotape here just scrunched.

Funny who'd have known there were so many ways to present a stocking Xmas Grin

ShowOfHands · 20/11/2016 09:15

The Christmas Morning Muffins (fnar) are an adaptation of a Nigella recipe:

www.nigella.com/recipes/christmas-morning-muffins

I add slightly different spices. In fact it changes annually but she's right, you can make the dry mix the night before and leave everything ready.

Love the idea of wrapping in tissue paper thank you Smile

GloGirl · 20/11/2016 09:20

Love the tissue paper idea! What's the Amazon link MrsAmerreto?

J3NN1 · 20/11/2016 09:35

I wrap in tissue paper and then Christmas stickers instead of sellotape. Much easier for me to wrap and even easier for the kids to open - plus it looks really nice!

SimplyNigella · 20/11/2016 10:04

I love the tissue paper and stickers idea.

roseteapot101 · 20/11/2016 10:11

lol we wrapped everything last year even the small party bag fillers it took our daughter ages but it kept her busy and the surprises just kept coming

Greenfingeredfun · 20/11/2016 10:31

show thank you for the lovely recipe, we will try them out this Christmas! Do you make them the day before and then just warm them in the morning? Or do you just leave the dry ingredients ready and add the juice, zest etc mix and bake Christmas morning? Smile

SuePerkins · 20/11/2016 11:23

Oh I LOVE the Nigella muffins. Unfortunately I'm the only one in the house who does, so haven't made them for Xmas day yet. Tempted to just for the lovely smells though!

Also loving the tissue paper and Xmas stickers idea. Sounds fab!

OhFuckOff · 20/11/2016 11:28

Wrapped in tissue paper here Smile

metoo22 · 20/11/2016 11:34

Have always used tissue paper, a different colour for each dc and their initials written in squiggly FC lettering, in case they get mixed up. Dcs are pretty much grown up now but this continues!

MsHybridFanGirl · 20/11/2016 11:34

Wrapped in Santa paper . . Same as the Santa presents downstairs

BeautifulRedBoots · 20/11/2016 11:43

I wrap in tissue paper - different colour for each person. Because the presents are inside a stocking it doesn't matter if you can sometimes see through, although it is better if you can't.

ShowOfHands · 20/11/2016 15:33

I bake them in the morning so that the house smells nutmeggy and cinnamony. I prepare the dry stuff the night before.

TheScottishPlay · 20/11/2016 15:41

Yes, in Christmassy tissue paper. No sellotape though. Getting the stocking fillers is the part of Christmas preparations I love the most.

ItsJustaUsername · 20/11/2016 15:45

I've always wrapped for the sole reason Ds gets to open his stocking in my bed and it affords me an extra 10 mins of staying horizontal, he usually wakes at the crack of dawn. The secret is to use loads of tape Grin. I also take a flask of coffee to bed on Xmas eve ready for my early morning wake up Wink.

OSETmum · 21/11/2016 19:12

Unwrapped, the stocking is the wrapping!

Shemozzle · 22/11/2016 11:13

I used to always wrap but after reading posts on here last year decided not to. Was SO liberating! Probably won't wrap this year either, being 9 months pregnant/with a newborn. It was hit or miss with my mum for stockings too. Sometimes wrapped sometimes not.

AllMyBestFriendsAreMetalheads · 22/11/2016 11:26

I wrap, but mainly to extend the time spent opening in our bed before we go downstairs.

RoseZinfandel · 22/11/2016 12:06

Father Christmas always wraps. Everything including the satsuma.

Sometimes in tissue paper, sometimes normal wrapping paper, sometimes it is a different colour for each child, sometimes the same colour (prefer different colour though, as easier to sort out whose is whose).

Main thing is it is different paper from any of the presents under the tree, and DC have not clapped eyes on it before.

We also put out our boots/shoes on December 6th, but treats in there (mainly edible) are not wrapped - although St N does tend to line the boots with a twist of gold tissue paper for the sake of hygiene Grin.

luckymucky · 22/11/2016 18:29

Never wrap here, it seems odd to me but that's only because our stockings presents were never wrapped as children. The stocking is the wrapping?
