Where do you get your cards from and which are your favourites to receive?

I usually get charity ones in oxfsm but I love to receive paperchase ones

I got some from Morrisons this year. They are charity cards too

I get oxfam too but thery do get a bit samey.

I love Medici christmas cards.

I don't notice where they're from; I notice what the picture is.

Favourite is home made (including the ones in a pack that come from school) - to give or receive.

I choose cards with a biblical picture - eg Bethlehem skyline, Mary on a donkey, baby in manger, kings on camels - for Christian friends and relations; I choose something like robins or snowflakes for those who I think wouldn't like too much God.

I fucking hate anything with fucking teddy bears on. Any teddy bears but particularly those bastard Forever Friends and similar

I buy cards from EACH children's hospice. They were fantastic when my family needed them.

I usually get mine in January for the following year. From somewhere like boots or smiths or whatever.

I send photo ones of the to immediate family and usually buy 'good' ones for brother and wife type of thing

I buy mine from Cards for Charity - you can sort by charity or theme on the website. You can order online or search for your nearest temporary shop - mine is in a church a few miles away and is staffed by some wonderful ladies who helped me to search for some lovely cards. There was also gift wrap, tags and some great traditional style paper advent calendars.

I don't like Christmas cards. You have to find some where to put them and they are just clutter. At work I sign the large hospice card and donate money to them. I only send cards to family don't see over Christmas.

Bought both our packs from local charities- breast cancer support and dog rescue. I like snowy scenes with glitter and animals on best. I don't like jokey cartoon Santa ones has to be a proper Santa.
Don't send many now.

I get mine from a charity shop. Not too fussed which but as long as it's a proper charity shop where they get all the profits, not just a percentage.

And totally agree with MrsHathaway about those Forever Friends / tatty teddies

This year at my dd's nursery the children designed their own Christmas cards and parents were able to buy packs off them so we've got those for this year.

I love the Quentin Blake ones in waterstones - they're a little bit pricier than normal but I couldn't resist them!

They make me smile and are slightly different from the usual offerings. I do have to buy a pack from Waitrose or wherever for our anti field sport friends though

Have just accessed the cupboard where the Christmas stuff lives. I reckon that's six complete rolls plus a few feet of leftovers. Depending what presents we actually buy, I may need to get some more cellophane. Bottom right is the frame with last year's collage of the year before's cards ...
