Does anyone remember what discounts ELC gave on Black Friday last year? Guy in store told me big city stuff will be reduced on Black Friday. Trying to decide if I should wait or buy now with £10 off £60 spend!

CarrotVan · 17/11/2016 11:28

I've got a £10 off £30 Boden voucher, expires tomorrow

Code is XOE25KTN8JZT

sassolino · 17/11/2016 11:37

Has anyone bought the Spode mugs? Just wondering if they are made in China? I got a set of Christmas Spode bowls a couple of years ago, and they were made in China sadly.

confuugled1 · 17/11/2016 11:41

ASpider - I got one of the stop motion kits yesterday too - you can't use it in the double up as it's a charity gift (think it donates £2 for every one sold) but they just had a separate stand as you went into my Sainsburys that had an image of the advert at the top, then lots of gingerbread men in packets and the stop motion sets at the bottom.

Now having to consider the dc's presents as I've already bought ds2 the stickbot animation set for christmas but both he and ds1 would love it and ds1's pile is so much bigger at the moment.

ChoccyJules · 17/11/2016 11:55

15% off at Weird Fish with this code: WFMAY43 I just got my BIL a sweatshirt, free postage atm too.

LostMyRubySlippers · 17/11/2016 11:56

carrie I think there is something on MSE about Black Friday discounts & suggesting what different retailers might be offering- can't recall if ELC on it but might be worth a look

frauleinsallybowles · 17/11/2016 11:57

Lookin for a sports direct code if possible.. my basket is huge and would like it reduced in price a bit if possible

BrollyXmas · 17/11/2016 12:05

Has anyone found the best iPad deals please?! Grin

Also, I have been trying to order the marshmallow toasting kit, but they seem to have run out of vanilla bean flavour Shock

Highfivethatfart · 17/11/2016 12:13

The sainsburys near me (south east Leicestershire) has the Hasbro Cracker (guess who and monopoly) still priced up as £1.20!

RoastieToastieReastie · 17/11/2016 12:22

10 days until we are putting the tree up :) squeeeee

Thanks for the m&s mention that decorations should be included, I'm a sad face tat I need a voucher as I was hoping everything would be automatically reduced.

Hide how does the recordable biscuit tin work? Can you play it back to check your message? Does it say the message every time you open the lid I hope so?

TOYS20 for 20% off at the natural history museum gift shop until Tuesday.

thetimeisnow · 17/11/2016 12:33

Thank you for the new thread.

Are there any discounts for mens fragrances, my DS wants Lacoste Blanc and I cant find any discounts to make it a bargain?!

Also, just been on Quidco and you can register your debit card to get cash back when you go real life shopping! (sorry if you know this already, I'm new to it!)

aunicornisnotjustforchristmas · 17/11/2016 12:49

I got a little bargain this morning, I had a shopping basket of goodies with an independent online shop. I decided to be a bit cheeky and email asking if there was a discount code. They replied back that there wasn't but offered a personal 10% off code. I can't post the code as it's my name and also I don't want to abuse the kindness of the store but just wanted to post this to say, don't be afraid to ask for codes if you can't find one. Especially with independent retailers, you may get lucky

Trumpton · 17/11/2016 12:54

Yes you can record and re-record your message on the biscuit tin . Not sur about automatic playback upon opening . But can look later.

Mama1980 · 17/11/2016 13:00

Random request from ds1....a huge plush snuggly snake. Has anyone seen anything on their travels?

confuugled1 · 17/11/2016 13:05

Mama Ikea used to do plush snakes and I think toys r us do them too. Maybe Wilkos. Have definitely seen them around.

WhirlwindHugs · 17/11/2016 13:08

We have a plush snake from bristol zoo? Other zoo shops might have similar?

CathFizz · 17/11/2016 13:09

Mama try keel toys, I got my DS a huge 200cm one for his birthday, not sure it is particularly snuggly though, but very cool, he's also got a couple from our visits to the zoo yes we have a cuddly snake family

TheRunningSloth · 17/11/2016 13:11

I have a 15% off Fogelberg code valid until 31st December: vivrelereve

happilyahousewife · 17/11/2016 13:17

Another looking for Canterbury stuff or anything rugby related ( not the England team though )

clerquin · 17/11/2016 13:18

Did the double up vouchers at Sainsburys yesterday and bought:

  1. PS4 (slim) with Fifa 17 less £40 voucher so I paid £210. Not a huge bargain but better than a poke in the eye!
  2. 5 x TD Prosecco = £0
  3. Bedlinen set (16) plus faux fur throw(30) = £6. Annoyingly, the throw seems to have been reduced to £22.50 today whereas I paid £30 yesterday but I don't think that I cba to return for a complicated refund and repurchase since it's already on DD's bed.

I went back today for 6 x TD bottles of wine = £0. Still have £70+ worth of Nectar points which I'm wondering whether to buy even more alcohol to stock up for Christmas/New Year/generic gifts.
