I can't believe chocolate oranges can sell for 50p (even if it is on offer), how much cheaper can they make them. They just aren't a touch in the quality they used to be in ye olden days.

What is it with damaged parcels from Book People? I have had them in the same condition. Perhaps there is too much 'space' in them, combined with not very robust boxes. and they get bashed about during sorting?

My book people order arrived in good condition , at the end of last week, maybe some carriers are more careful than others? One of the books was the wrong one, but that's another story.

Also, a bit of a random request, my dd is obsessed with ice skating and has said she would love an ice skate decoration for the Christmas tree. I've looked in asda, tesco and wilko with no joy, has anyone else seen an ice skate tree decoration anywhere by any chance?

ASpider, I saw a pair of beautiful ice skates for about £4... Silver and white (like a glass bauble) and had a bit of feathery fluff around top of the shoes... They were in Homesense and came boxed as a pair. Don't see them online at tk maxx sorry. John Lewis has this woolly pair but it's out of stock online.

ASpider, actually try eBay...I just did a search on ice skate decoration and there's some wooden ones as well as some antique baubles that come up, so all sort of price range choices.

Has anyone seen any empty hampers? Need quite a big one.
