cheeky is it brighttree village he wants? My daughter loves that one too! She's not getting it. Either they make very few, or they only made a limited run (very likely for an high end lego set) because they are never reduced. The only slightly cheaper way to get one is second hand.

For serious lego fanatics, you can use websites like brick.com to help work out what you can almost make with bricks you already have then order the instructions and individual missing bricks from various sets. But bright tree village has so many unique minifigs that it's probably not a cost effective way of doing it.

Thank you MrsBellefleur for the play dough bargains

imsorryiasked · 19/11/2016 18:25

Not particularly bargainous but maybe useful stocking fillers - Peacocks have large sweet lollipops in flamingo, pug and unicorn designs.

Mrsmadevans · 19/11/2016 18:28

Anyone know if Argos will have another 3for2 on toys before xmas?

lazzaroo · 19/11/2016 19:29

Need ideas for a silly suprise present at work. No budget, so am working on £10 or under, and suprise recipient. I'm a bit rubbish at that kind of thing!

RoastieToastieReastie · 19/11/2016 19:46

Thanks acsec, I will try tkmaxx if I get time to go to my local one (it's not that local!)

BowiesBlueEye · 19/11/2016 20:02

I got these in Card Factory today. Plushes were £1.99, wind up toys 99p and the sign was £1.49. They had little Lego type santas and snowmen for 99p and in lovely little boxes. They had lots of elf and fairy things very cheap.

For those of you buying Sylvanian families have a look at the Sylvanianian shop in Highbury, London. They might stock the more obscure, hard to find sets.
