What are you getting your three year old girls?

For dd who is nearly 3 I have 2 Paw Patrol vehicles with figures. Was thinking a CD player or something as she likes singing and dancing, and maybe some Playmobil - we already have the camping type stuff from dc1 - and she has some horses - can anyone recommend other sets? Her birthday is shortly after Christmas and she's getting a Lottie Doll.

Otherwise drawing a blank. She likes Frozen, though mainly dressing up and the soundtrack, she isn't really into Disney movies yet other than that.

Thanks.

DD will be 3 shortly after Xmas. For Xmas she's getting in her stocking/from Santa:

  • Dora doll
  • binoculars and a book on birds (she loves watching birds in the garden)
  • fun bits and bobs

From me:

  • Sylvanian families house
  • Sylvanian families Rabbit family
  • bird nesting box

Not thought ahead for her birthday though!

We've got the RSPB first book of garden birds fiddlefigs if you don't already have one in mind. The illustrations are lovely and we have the Bugs one too.

Is the Olaf pop up game the same as Pop-Up Pirate?

I have got her the Playmobil Stable - the petting zoo looked lovely too, but we already have the Duplo one and she plays with her Playmobil horses a lot.

Also found her some Little Mermaid Lego.

Lots of lovely ideas for stocking fillers too thanks to this thread, so feeling a bit more organised, thanks everyone for suggestions.

Dd loves animals so that furreal cat sounded interesting - but bloody hell it's expensive! We have the elc cd player and it eats batteries...expensive ones. I'm getting dd and older ds a real cd player instead.

Am having the same issue as you with dd being dc2 and both of them not really needing anymore toys... she likes puzzles and games though so will get a couple more.of those. And some more arts and crafts stuff. Can't think of anything big though.

SatsukiKusakabe · 15/11/2016 13:20

I'm going to get them a joint game, so will look at the Olaf one, thanks.

Dd looked at something like the furreal cat in a shop, but I know it would end up ignored here.

Thanks for info re: CD player. Older ds doesn't have yet one so might get them a proper portable one to share later on, as you say.

I saw some Disney animator dolls today, they come in little sets with some accessories and look quite good. Dd had the toddler dolls last year and likes them, but these look like they have more play value.

My 3.9yo daughter has:

Kiddizoom camera & case
Pop up Olaf
Frozen duvet set
Frozen book & CD (from Poundworld btw!)
Flying Twirlywoo
Digipenguin
Lego man torch

Stocking:
Wooden watch
Wooden jewellery (necklace/bracelet)
Frozen lip balm
Frozen nail varnish
Kinetic wheel
Christmas comic
Bubba bloom
Chocolate coins

She has asked Santa for a cat (yes, the furreal one) so my mum has got her that for him to drop off at hers.

My dd is 3 in March. My dad recently bought her the playmobil farm and she loves it. Doesn't stop playing with it. We have got her a balance bike, dressing up clothes and a little trampoline

RedHouses · 15/11/2016 14:45

The Disney animator dolls have money off online and there's also a code just for today for a further 24% off on the Disney shop website which works with already reduced items. The code is TOYTUESDAY Smile

RedHouses · 15/11/2016 14:46

Whoops sorry it's the single toddler dolls which have money off already! Still a good deal though.

SatsukiKusakabe · 15/11/2016 14:56

Thank you!

Worked out last night that the tiger she wanted was actually Tigger, so have got him and the Rapunzel animator doll with a good chunk off each Flowers Star

DD1 will be 3.3 at Xmas. We were given the Slyvanian hotel a few months ago which wasn't fully furnished so I'm getting her some furniture sets but will probably withold the tiny tiny parts.
Other things:
Baby Annabel
Fisher Price record player
Play doh

Stocking:
Peppa pig hair ties
Christmas book
Stickers
Tights

SatsukiKusakabe · 15/11/2016 16:35

My dd got the small baby Annabell and the Fisher Price Record player last year for her birthday and loves and plays with both still, so good choices Smile

What about a play tent or teepee?

Millie2013 · 15/11/2016 17:43

DD (3) is having
a new scooter (her old one is a bi clunky)
a camera (possibly off a set of grandparents)
Frozen lego (ditto)
Other lego bits
A light up my little pony
A few shopkins
the Orchard learning space game

and a few stocking fillers

Millie2013 · 15/11/2016 17:44

eta. DD has the ELC CD player too and it's great (although the racket of her blasting out LET IT GOOOOOOO means I occasionally have to hide it...)

Scotinoz · 15/11/2016 23:17

Some great ideas for 3 years - thanks!

A couple of people mentioned they're buying a dolls cot/bed. I've looked at the IKEA dolls bed but looking for ideas of nice looking ones that don't break the bank. Thanks 😀

MelinaMercury · 16/11/2016 01:08

Scot we have had a plain wooden rocking crib for about 2 years and its lovely and sturdy too. It was £25 from Amazon.
