If you are a teacher, would you like this?

I'm thinking of taking the easy way out with DD's nursery teachers and getting them a bottle of prosecco each and a Christmas tree ornament (a nice red felt one from John Lewis). Would this go down okay with you (assuming you drink alcohol, which I think they all do)? Or would it look a bit meh?

What a lovely gift. On my classroom tree I have ornaments bought or made for me by previous classes. It's so lovely to get them out each year and remember the class/pupil it came from.

I helped out a couple of days a week at DD's little village school for a couple of years and over the Xmas period I was there. I have to say that my experience is very different to what people envisage teachers would like - witnessing the responses in the staffroom the alcohol was always MOST appreciated as were the homemade gifts.

I'm now working in a school myself and the number of times teachers refer to alcohol makes me think that they will appreciate it very much!! Xmas Grin

I would be happy with both these ideas and have bought baubles for dd's teachers too. I however have a colour scheme so red and green wouldn't go on my tree!
