what are you buying your 5 year old boy?

Following on from another thread I could do with some ideas for mu 5 ds...loads of ideas for older Dd but really not sure what to get him! He points out lots of plastic tat that cme up on ads but I'm not convinced, can you share your ideas with me?

my 5 year old is asking for alot of Thomas playsets and science experiment thing from the works

Both my kids, boy and girl, adore the playmobil swimming pool.

my ds is 4.5, he is having a kyloren costume and lightsabre, rc car, minecraft figures, minecraft lego, gunslinger game, art case, optimus prime, magic sand, ride on motorbike, mini helicopter, slippers, teddy and annual. he has 2 joint presents with his brother which are a race track and a games table

Hexbugs, a new scooter, plus a few books, and stocking. Father Christmas is bringing a new car mat to share with his sister too.

For his birthday (between Xmas and new year!) he's having a Marklin train set- bit more advanced than Brio but apparently fairly indestructible (fingers crossed)

Lego, a pikachu onesie, a djeco puzzle, a Kirby 3ds game and hama beads.

This thread is making me feel like he needs imaginext in his life! Though he's never asked for it (never heard of it I imagine)

Ds is getting a hatchimal (which I'm not convinced about but he desperately wants thanks to YouTube videos!) Grossery gang stuff, spongebob headphones for his ipad, horrid Henry book set (reduced to £10 for 30 books on book people!) Pokemon stuff and boxed Games. I always go over board at Christmas but I love it!
