I have no clue what to get DS age 8 and a half!

He doesn't know either.

He has a bike, scooter, trampoline, iPad and an iPod. We have a PlayStation too. Clothes he's not really into. Same with trainers. We have tonnes of Lego much of which isn't played with. He isn't really a reader either.

He's really not into toys anymore.

Days out wise we live in Perth Scotland so a day out to the likes of legoland isn't possible without a lot of expense.

Any thoughts.

Small Drone?

We did this last year when in Scotland - www.foxlake.co.uk/ - might be worth thinking about if you are looking for an activity? Kind of like Go Ape but over water with no ropes.

My then 8 year old absolutely loved it.

My DS (then age 10) got a kit to make animated films - camera, background, clay and software last year. He still uses it almost every day now, and puts films on YouTube, has used it for school projects, and just for fun with friends. He has the Zu3d kit (they sell though Amazon or on their website). It really has been the best present we ever bought - would your DS be interested in something like that?

I have also been looking at Ozobot robots, which look great but I fear may be a one day wonder with DS, but maybe something to consider?

And don't forget a remote controlled car

My 8yo has asked for a Wild Pets spider, among other things.

What about a 3D printer pen? I'm currently thinking about this for DS who is the same age.

My ds is 7 nearly 8 and he's asked for the new Nintendo ds3 xl. He already has a huge amount of Lego,iPad,iPhone,old ds,so I think he will definately use it. It's a bit pricey but I'm hoping to get it Black Friday sale, he's also wanting a nerf gun,Lego etc

Lots of great ideas. My ds is similar doesn't really play with anything just football obsessed. He has asked for some k-nex. He had the Ferris wheel last year but this year would just like a mixed box. Also thinking Pokémon things, maybe a Gex bug Robot. He also likes making YouTube videos so I bought him a tripod for his iPod.

My DS isn't into tech or gaming or anything, so I am struggling too. He is into lego high, do he is having that, some glow in the dark hexbugs sets, lots art and craft stuff, theatre tickets, joke shop stuff, magic set, hot wires, DVDs and books. Stocking stuff too.

What about theatre or cema tickets? Or concert tickets? Is he musicl? Would he like instrument lessons or sports lessons? Would he like his bedroom to be redecorated? You could do wall art, rug, bedding, paint etc.
