I have to buy from everyone. I'm all out of ideas.

We got my DD the kiddizoom last Christmas (then almost 4) and it was a huge hit. Not only does it take photos, it also has a few games on it too! Got it v cheap in Boots IIRC.

We recently got the Paw Patrol look out and the DC love it, also paid £30 - and definitely wouldn't pay more. Some of the reviews online complain about it toppling over but actually if the base stands are fitted the correct way this won't happen...

Mash ups are a HUGE hit with my colleague's 4 year old grandson!

Gooseysgirl · 26/10/2016 12:44

Urgh links and working for me today HmmSearch on Amazon for 'Pretend and Play School Set, my four year old got it for her birthday, it's fab! Folds away when not in use.

I'll def be borrowing some of these.

Already on the list was Lego/meccano junior and hot wheels.
Looks like Santa might be bringing a playmobil fire engine.

Playmobil fire engine
Go Jetters Vroomster (relatives are getting him other figures)
Thomas the tank dvd/train

Equimum · 26/10/2016 17:10

DS1 turns four around Christmas time. We are giving him:-
Wooden castle
Set of Knights etc.
Playmobil recycling truck
Some Brio train bits

He is also getting from other people/ for his birthday:

Magformers
Gardening tools
Board games
Marble run

ipswichwitch · 26/10/2016 18:16

The Playmobil fire engine is great. They do a school set (teacher, pupil, desk and other bits) for those with DC that like playing schools. DS1 is getting the goldmine (I can't wait to have a go!) and the hospital. His brother (will turn 3 before Christmas) is getting the Playmobil treehouse, rubbish truck, and dumper truck. I've bought Santa's house to get out on 1st December as a decoration they can play with, then maybe they'll finally leave the tree alone!!

ipswichwitch · 26/10/2016 18:17

I also plan on getting him a massive set of felt tip pens and loads of colouring in books, since he's just discovered that.

HeyManIJustWantSomeMuesli · 26/10/2016 18:40

Magformers
Marble run
possibly Kinetic Sand
Go Jetters stuff (he has jetpad so maybe the vroomster or a glitch HQ if there is one)
Books about space and/or human body

HeyManIJustWantSomeMuesli · 26/10/2016 18:40

Ooh and hexbug stuff; maybe the board game.

Chrisinthemorning · 26/10/2016 18:52

DS is getting the Inaginext pirate ship, Thunderbirds Tracy Island and various other bits including play doh and Star Wars stuff.

katienana · 26/10/2016 20:25

Ds asks for everything he sees so tough to narrow it down! I also have to think of presents from 9 givers who will all ask for ideas.
His birthday was this month and he got blaze & the monster machines track which he loves, several Lego sets, a remote control car, trip to build a bear, football kit, batman dress up, accessories for his wooden railway.
Because we're not at home on Christmas day I feel like I want to get him "standalone" toys, he wouldn't be able to play with a new piece of railway for e.g.

I try to limit the 'live' tv they watch to limit exposure to adverts but I know what you mean!
