Due to various things I am way behind with any Christmas shopping Confused.

I need inspiration for my girls' re-useable calendars please! They'll be very nearly 7 and very nearly 10 by December. Cheap as possible is good too.

I'm off to town tomorrow so will pick up some bits and bobs while I'm there

We also do notes for activities, jokes, riddles etc. also a set of christmas finger puppets which get recycled every year - covers about 5 days. Christmas stickers from pound land, cut up.
I've bought a second hand playmobile Christmas set (£2 bargain) which I'm going to split.

However the bit DD (5years) likes best is that we have a little soft 'drummer boy' decoration that she moves every day after taking out whatever is in the pocket, so she can see how close we are to Christmas.

We have a Playmobil Advent calendar that comes out every year, but the boxes are a bit tatty so the pieces go in the reusable calendar along with a chocolate or sweet each.

I've also got the 24pc pokemon set this year. Will also put in a small piece of chocolate each day.

Previously I've just bought a commercial lego or playmobil advent calendar and taken the bits out and put them in the reusable calendar. The Smiggle calendar looks good for this I want one but pricey.

You can get bundles of fillers in 24 or 12 on Ebay! I always start picking bits up in town but never quite manage to fill all the pockets before December 1st so this saves a lot of lunch breaks looking for tat that isn't in huge multipacks. m.ebay.co.uk/itm/Christmas-Advent-Calendar-24-unisex-toys-stationary-no-hair-accessories-/142160495123?nav=SELLING_ACTIVE
