Elizabeth - my 12 year old is 13 next week. She wants:

Jack wills shoulder bag ( I got her the one from boots with bits inside) and as part of 342)
Hype bag
Clothes
Simple face wash things
Money
Staedtler pencils in the hard case
Fine liners

She also loves craft things like fimo, acrylic paints, clay etc.

Carrie I've sent a PM for your Saltrock code

TomHaverford · 16/10/2016 10:38

Hi all, I was wondering if anyone had any advice about Happyland vs Toot Toot? DD will be 18 months at christmas so wondering what to go for. I was thinking of getting a Micro scooter but tried her out on the littlest one yesterday and she had no clue.

At the moment she mainly enjoys bashing things and roaming around but hopefully this will change!

CarrotVan · 16/10/2016 10:41

tom from a parent perspective Happyland is less irritating than Toot Toot

LavateLasManos · 16/10/2016 10:46

I've decided I'd like to do an American hamper for DS1(13). I've got some ideas already but if there's anything I've missed please let me know (nothing with peanut butter though please), thanks.

Body shop codes not working?
😭

MTWTFSS · 16/10/2016 10:49

Playmobil 5629 Dragon Knight Carry Case- £6.86
Playmobil Knights, Castle, Police, School, and Shopping Centre- £7.27

gaggiagirl · 16/10/2016 10:50

QOD it won't worry on things like advent calendars, Xmas gift sets, oils of life and wooden foot thingys. If you click on the ts and cs it'll tell you what it doesn't apply to.

gaggiagirl · 16/10/2016 10:51

WORK not worry.

confuugled1 · 16/10/2016 10:53

Brolly they had some of those Staedetler fineliners in a case reduced in WH Smith - think they were about £10 instead of £16 for a pack of 20. They were in a bit with the colouring books and there was also a pack that had a staedetler colouring book and fineliner set for a bit more (£13ish) and a big pack of sharpies of different colours - there were two in giant packs with big colourful boxes and a pack that seemed to be left over from the back to school stuff that was £20 but £9 if you bought anything else in store...

Trin4421 · 16/10/2016 10:54

Thanks WuTang. Got some good prezzies in the clearance.

I've got another refer a friend discount code for salt rock if anyone wants it - 25% off (and gives the referee £10). Doubt this will be quite as popular as the Hush referral, but should we start a new thread like suggested? Otherwise just send me a message?

confuugled1 · 16/10/2016 10:56

Lavate Just double checking that you know that you can get lots of those sweets in Poundland now (for a pound Grin) - much cheaper than buying them online or in the supermarket (our local sainsburys sells most of them too).

I'd also add a small pack of Hershey's Kisses (as opposed to a bar of Hershey's chocolate) - not that they taste very nice if you're used to Uk chocolate, but just because they seem to always be mentioned when talking about american sweets!

1stTimeMama · 16/10/2016 10:57

TomHaverford I would definitely go for Happyland over Toot Toot. There's far more play value with Happyland, and it's so much sturdier than the flimsy Toot Toot bits. Not to mention just how annoying the car sounds are!

NaturalBlondeYeahRight · 16/10/2016 10:59

Lavate check out the clearance corner on americansoda.co.uk
I've got stuff from there when making an American hamper before. You haven't got any drinks on that list.
Also teen girls love bath and body works stuff (especially their hand sanitisers) . It's harder to find online in uk but I've got some from eBay before.

LavateLasManos · 16/10/2016 10:59

Thanks confuggled I was going to grab most of them from B+M. Will also change the Hersheys to kisses, thanks Xmas Smile

LavateLasManos · 16/10/2016 11:00

Great suggestion, thanks Natural

Coldilox · 16/10/2016 11:06

Definitely Happyland over toot toot. My little boy got both last year (16 months) and it's the Happyland he plays with the most, by far.

BanoffeePieIsMyFave · 16/10/2016 11:13

lavate would suggest adding Junior Mints (my DH's fave), Milk Duds and Hot Tamales.
I got these for the advent calendar I'm putting together for DH

Coldilox · 16/10/2016 11:18

Lavate - you need either Reece's Pieces or their mini peanut butter cups!

Follyfoot · 16/10/2016 11:23

Help! My DD is in America this year so no face to face present giving for us Sad She has given me a list of mainly clothes from US sites so I'll just pay in dollars and the items will be posted to her from within the US, but I'd like to buy some things here to wrap and send to her as a surprise. Any ideas for lightweight, non bulky items that can be posted for a 24 year old would be really gratefully received .

Follyfoot · 16/10/2016 11:29

Forgot to add.....

A few years ago, someone on here recommended Magpie for great gifts. Their outlet is here and there's lots of lovely stuff with good discounts.

Wayfarersonbaby · 16/10/2016 11:29

Folly what about some jewellery - something from Lisa Angel or a bracelet from Estella Bartlett?

LavateLasManos · 16/10/2016 11:30

Thanks Banoffee, added those to the list.
Coldilox thanks for the suggestion but he detests peanut butter.

LavateLasManos · 16/10/2016 11:32

Folly Nomination have a promotion atm where you get a free bracelet when you buy two charms. You can get 2 charms and a bracelet for as little as £22. They look really lovely too I think.
