Hi everyone,
We're planning a housewarming on Sat 17th December... We will let people know maybe the beginning of November so they can decide whether to attend or if there's another event they are going to that's fine being so close to Christmas.
I'm trying to decide what kind of buffet to do... I originally thought maybe steering away from the classic Christmas buffet of meats, cheeses, bread etc and put a huge bowl of slow cooker chilli on the go with potato wedges, rice and nachos that kind of thing but DH isn't keen.
We'd be starting the house warming early for the elderly relatives who don't want to be out too late so say 4.30pm/5.00pm and then until late for our friends and younger family members.
During the housewarming I don't want to spend loads of time in the kitchen so we need to do something that's going to keep well that people can help themselves to...
Any ideas? Suggestions?
We're going to be catering for maybe 50 people?
Thanks mumsnetters
