As with previously, if I have missed a link you think would be good on the list please post on here or message me. Also if a link doesn't work anymore or an offer is no longer standing please flag it up by telling me in bold .

Firefly has reported the dates for the Sainsburys 25% off clothing this year are likely to be:
23-31 August
20-26 September
25-31 October
28 Nov - 5 Dec
Then 16-22 Feb 2017

Camel camel camel is a great amazon price tracking tool here

Top cash back here is a cash back site where you get a percentage of cash back from what you buy when you shop with certain retailers. Just search the shop you want to buy something from in top cash back to see if there is a cash back offer and follow the link on the site to go to the website you want. You can then choose to have the cash back directly in your bank account or have various vouchers. I've managed about £100 in a year but many seem to accrue more maybe I don't buy enough, that's a good excuse if ever I've heard one . You have to earn something like £5 in cash back before they start sending you money. If you need insurance etc they can have great cash back offers. If you follow the link above it will earn me referral credit.

Quidco here is another cash back site like top cash back but has a different offering of shops. See info above.

The Maisto rock crawler on amazon is now down to £9.36, RRP £25.99.

My 2 arrived and I have to say they are brilliant, go all over the garden, over stones, grass, up ramps, over big bumps etc. And at a decent speed.
Only issue is that they run on the same frequency so 1 controller runs them both! Luckily my dh is an engineer and has bought something which he reckons will allow him to change the frequency of one of them.

Maisto rock crawler

Oh and you can't choose the colours, they sent me one blue one and one yellow one.

woodwaj · 24/08/2016 08:15

confuugled1 · 24/08/2016 09:13

I was in WH Smith the other day and they already had some Christmas planning/decorations etc magazines in. The sort that usually come out for one or two issues in October or November. It was crazy hot outside and in the store - and as much as I love reading these threads now it made me do a double take when I saw it on the shelf!

Also - anyone needing pens and stationery etc for back to school, Sainsburys have started to reduce their prices by about a third. It does usually go lower but theres no guarantee that everything will still be in stock.

If anyone has difficult to get for tweenagers, I made my neice and ds very happy last birthdays with a huge load of stationery that I'd got for them in Sainsbury's on the sale when thibgs were knocked down to about 10-20% of their normal price. I got a couple of box wallets, filled one with a ream of paper and the other had pens, pencils, maths set, scissors, stapler, rulers, fancy colouring pens and fine liners, highlighters, a drafting pen, boxes of paper clips and split pins and similar, sellotape, double sided tape and more. Whole lot cost me about a tenner each - but was about £70 worth of stuff. Although it was a very mundane present in some ways, the volume meant there was enough to be exciting. It's not something that"s an obvious present but if its something that would appeal to someone you know, it's worth keeping an eye on the stationery aisle when you do your supermarket shop and pounce when the prices hit bargain lows!

(Still waiting on the shark bed, but, um, sadly, my sweet, wonderful kitty passed away last week, so I'm kind of hoping it never shows. Sad)

I currently have £15 worth of Toys r Us vouchers to spend on a 3 year old boy, and no idea what to get.

If anybody spots any suitable bargains from there could they please let me know? It is a shop which I don't go into really as it's a bit out of the way for me. Flowers

The Rock Crawler linked to upthread looks tempting Smile

SilverGiraffe7 · 24/08/2016 13:16

My Hawkins bazaar stockings turned up today - (Many thanks for the heads up, Ekorre!) - and they're brilliant! £10 per stocking (reduced from £20) and they contain loads. Around 14 items per stocking (I bought two of the 3+ and two of the 8+). Just a shame they only had girl ones left!

The 3+ ones each had:
'Giggle bag' (like a noisy beanbag!)
Ball
Novelty sunglasses
Octopus bath glove
Owl stationary set
Nature dominoes
Monster making goo/play dough set
Wooden heart Hair bands
Rainbow magic gloves
Animal purse
Hand puppet
Notebook
Quacking duck toy

(With different colours/versions in each)

The 8+ ones had:
Pom Poms
Paper flower making set
Balancing butterfly
Stamper set
Beads set
Colour and shrink keyring set
Animal Purse
Squidgy punk insect toy
Horse pencil + topper
Loom bands
Hair bands
Notebook
Duck lipgloss
Notebook keyring
Teddy bear shaped sharpener
(Again, the two stockings had different colours / versions for most things)

Can post pictures if anyone's particularly interested Grin

Can you tell I'm well impressed with them?!
