As with previously, if I have missed a link you think would be good on the list please post on here or message me. Also if a link doesn't work anymore or an offer is no longer standing please flag it up by telling me in bold .

Firefly has reported the dates for the Sainsburys 25% off clothing this year are likely to be:
23-31 August
20-26 September
25-31 October
28 Nov - 5 Dec
Then 16-22 Feb 2017

Camel camel camel is a great amazon price tracking tool here

Top cash back here is a cash back site where you get a percentage of cash back from what you buy when you shop with certain retailers. Just search the shop you want to buy something from in top cash back to see if there is a cash back offer and follow the link on the site to go to the website you want. You can then choose to have the cash back directly in your bank account or have various vouchers. I've managed about £100 in a year but many seem to accrue more maybe I don't buy enough, that's a good excuse if ever I've heard one . You have to earn something like £5 in cash back before they start sending you money. If you need insurance etc they can have great cash back offers. If you follow the link above it will earn me referral credit.

Quidco here is another cash back site like top cash back but has a different offering of shops. See info above.

Anyone seen any bargains on little live pet turtles - both dds want them but I don't want to pay £13 each! Or even better the tank sets... my local sainsburys had the mice discounted but no turtles :(

TKRedLemonade · 20/08/2016 10:54

All my capes arrived. They are fab. Were supposed to be for Christmas but we are visiting with my niece and nephew so ended up just opening them all! They are all zooming around like superheroes :) thanks OP

carrietwick · 20/08/2016 10:56

Scrappy I've just been to Tesco and they have the turtles reduced to £6.50 from £13

EllaHen · 20/08/2016 10:59

Board Games fans - Carcasonne.

Only £16.50, down from £33. My kids love this game. It really is worth the money. I'm racking my brain for someone to buy it for.

EllaHen · 20/08/2016 11:01

Scarlett - thanks for the Pandemic recommendation. I've ordered it. Just need to decide whether it's for one of the kids or dh.

RJnomore1 · 20/08/2016 11:21

Thanks for the benefit info, I've just got DD £90 of stuff for £57 including full size porefessional etc in a kit. She loves benefit face and lip products. Also got the free bag and two samples that will go in her stocking with the stuff I got in the space NK sale.

I'm struggling here with dd2 - she will be 12 and I don't know what to get her. New phone I think as she's proved herself very responsible with my old one but beyond that I am stumped. Any ideas gratefully received!

RJnomore1 · 20/08/2016 11:26

Actually I've just worked out that one if the kits I bought, though the kit was priced at £44.50 originally is worth £71 - three full size items in it.

So an even bigger saving.

Happy days.

Anyone looking for a camera there's a great price comparison site - www.camerapricebuster.co.uk

Even better, John Lewis will accept it as evidence of other main stores' prices.

I used it last year to get an extra tenner off a camera I got for ds2 from JL - it showed up that Boots were cheaper and they sold it to me at that price even though my local big Boots doesn't sell cameras any more

And for anyone looking for a robust kids camera I can highly recommend the Nikon S33 - it's a proper waterproof and drop proof camera but it has a kids mode for easy handling and built in special effects. Ds2 (7) gets great pictures from it and it's been handy having such a rugged 'proper' camera for things we've done over the summer that would have ruined a normal camera. It's currently about £85 but I got it for £74. Think it ws recommended by several people on a previous Christmas thread which is why I chose the model.

Reastie it would be a great link to add to the set of useful links in post 2 you do Grin

Allhallowseve · 20/08/2016 12:53

If anyone spots bargain fit bits I will be very grateful have 2 to buy!

confuugled1 · 20/08/2016 13:23

RJ if you're getting your dd a phone you could get her a little set of lenses to fit over the actual lens, which enable you to take macro shots, close up and wide angle shots plus a little tripod and book about phone photography.

The lenses you can usually get in a set for less than a fiver from somewhere like 7dayshop.com.

Will look some out later if they're of interest.

RJnomore1 · 20/08/2016 13:49

Oh she would love that confuggled. Great idea thank you.

BoaConstrictor · 20/08/2016 13:58

Oh2 - do any leisure centres near you do roller skating sessions? If so, could you add that?

Is there a cunning way of marking where you last read a thread I like this so I don't have to scroll through it all the time?

Badders123 · 20/08/2016 14:08

.

DandelionAndBedrock · 20/08/2016 14:09

Think someone mentioned the White Company upthread - last few days of their sale now, including children's fairisle slippers for £6.60 down from £22.

GerrardWinstanley · 20/08/2016 14:09

I think I probably heard about the Ollie&Nic website on last year's threads. They still have a sale on here. I've bought myself 5 bags and a purse from them in the last year Blush. Plus a work bag for DH. Everything has been such fantastic quality and beautiful. They also sell jewellery and accessories.

Theimpossiblegirl · 20/08/2016 14:36

A bit random but I just ordered a couple of these for my teen girls for weekends away.

pretty bra shaped underwear carrier

and acrylic make up storage drawers (in the vain hope they stop leaving their make-up all over the floor).
