My first bargains just arrived. Two storm trooper watches and loads of captain America sticker packs. Now to get everything hidden!!

Fueledwithfairydustandgin · 08/08/2016 12:17

Sorry can't remember name of poster with 8 month old but our DS has adored his micro scooter with the seat and used it from 11 months. It meant we could walk quite far and he would fly alongside. It is my number 1 buy

woodwaj · 08/08/2016 12:28

FeelingSmurfy · 08/08/2016 12:50

Admit it, who came straight here when they logged on this morning? Grin first page I check

FeelingSmurfy · 08/08/2016 12:53

I am looking for stickers, as many as possible for as cheap as possible Smile doesn't matter too much what they are as long as they suitable for under 6

I fill shoeboxes every year and like to use them to decorate plain notebooks (cheaper) and put some in the boxes to be used by the children, and I have a nephew who will happily sit quietly for an hour if given a set of stickers at the moment

Lunar1 · 08/08/2016 12:58

They were from the John Lewis sale. Really pleased with them.

BonesyBones · 08/08/2016 13:31

I'm looking for a plastic wendyhouse for DS2 who will be 2 and a half at Christmas, hoping it will also last for DC3 due just after xmas, so a good few years. We had the one in the picture for DS1 but he got frustrated that the door never closed properly. Ideally want to spend around £100 or less. Would like it to be quite large too.

Any other ideas of things I can get DS2 that will last for DC3 too would be great.

I love this thread, it has helped me loads over the past few years, I'm a regular lurker but thought I'd say hello this year. My 3 dc all have winter birthdays so bargain hunting is a must!

I'm looking out for a football goal or similar this year for ds

FeelingSmurfy - still need deas for 5/6 year old boys? How about a JointPaint your own Tee Pee from Hobbycraft? it's £35 but you can often get 15% discount codes signing up to their newsletter and there is 3-6% cashback from TCB.

WhirlwindHugs · 08/08/2016 14:40

Thanks for the lego star wars watch link - first thing got for DS. They have a few other designs for slightly more at 9 pounds each.

As usual, character.com have some good deals on PJs and tees etc.

Lunar1 · 08/08/2016 14:48

There are the bits that came from John Lewis this morning. Got two of each for my two. Plus a few watches extra for school party birthday presents!

WhirlwindHugs · 08/08/2016 16:17

Oh, while I'm here - anyone who loves islabikes but balks at the price, they have warnings on their website that the price of the cnoc and beinn bikes is going up after August the 15th, how much I don't know.

I also saw advice on a preloved islabikes fb group to ring the store and ask about any discounted bikes they may have (eg, dented boxes, seconds, trade ins etc) regularly. They go for so much second hand (even old ones!) that a seconded bike would cost similar to a second hand one anyway!
