Can you help me find a gorgeous one??

D'you mean the actual box or the contents?

Last year I bought some Yankee Candles from QVC and each set (there were 3) came with a striped canvas oval basket (red/white, blue/white, green/white)

In years gone by, HomeSense ( TKMaxx homewhere shop) have sold Christmas boxes.
Or a cardboard box covered in Christmas paper and wrapped in cellophane.

For contents we do:

I got a festive box in either Meadows & Byrne or Dunnes Stores I think a few years ago - roughly A4 sized rectangle standard box and pretty decent strength to it. That works well to hold festive items all year (things like DVDs and books) and then Christmas Eve items for that day.

If you look in October/early November, you should find plenty of nice festive boxes on the high street, particularly in homewares stores or ones with a lot of festive decorations. Or go to Ikea and get a nice plain wooden one and paint it yourself?

I bought one in Dunnes Stores last year. Big enough to hold new pjs and a few treats for 2 dc and I then used it to store the Christmas decorations after Christmas.

You can buy large crates on eBay for about £5.11 delivered if anyone wants to make there own, Pinterest has some amazing ideas

IKEA do some lovely wooden crates too. I'm going to grab a couple this year and make my own.

Do you (all) tend to buy a new one each year? Or do you safely store it away till next year?

I have seen one I love but for £50 I would hate to throw it away after 1 use.

I've ordered their engraved version before, really good quality.

I bought a victorian look toy trunk and will use it each year. It's not specifically Christmassy but victorian things always feel quite Christmassy to me anyway. And it's so sturdy, it should last for years. I keep my knitting wool stored in it normally at the top of my wardrobe and on Christmas eve I empty it out and fill it up with goodies. This was it last year.

I started doing one on 1 Dec with DD1 rather than 24th. Gives her time to enjoy her Christmas bits throughout the run up to the big day. I put books (same ones each year with a few taken away/added as she gets older), jammies, a special new Christmas decoration to put on the tree, her Christmas duvet, some wee Christmas sticker books and colouring books, maybe a wee toy and some sweeties. Christmas Eve we have stockings, santas plate and things to keep her going (and DD2 when she's old enough).
