We are having roast beef on Christmas Day so will definitely be having Yorkshire puddings. We occasionally have them with roast chicken too.

Which are the best ready-made ones btw?

YOu have to have yorkshire puddings with christmas dinner.

There would be outrage here if I didn't cook them.

Mercy · 18/12/2006 18:17
Grin
SherlockLGJ · 18/12/2006 18:17

If you must cheat these are the best.

SherlockLGJ · 18/12/2006 18:17

The organic ones. Natch

LorinaLovesSprouts · 18/12/2006 18:27

They will certainly be one of the options. I'm not keen but will happily dish them up for everyone else.

Sprouts will also be an option but I will probably be the only one to indulge

btw sainsburys fresh (not frozen) yorkshires are much better than any other bought ones I've tried

JollyOldSaintNikkielas · 18/12/2006 18:57

Yes , anything that may be eaten with a roast dinner iseaten at Xmas, kids would revolt with yorkies!

janeite · 18/12/2006 19:08

Am I the only one who prefers to save my Yorkies for pudding, to have with jam and milk on?

We do have yorkshires on Christmas Day but I'm afraid I cheat and rely on Aunt Bessie. I love cooking and am a pretty decent cook but just can't seem to master yorkshires.

TheChristmasArmadillo · 18/12/2006 19:10

for ready-made yorkshire puddings Aunt Bessie are definately the best. Also if you have time to cook the ones that rise in the oven they tend to be better than the 4 minute ones.

Its not the worst crime in the world

deaconblue · 18/12/2006 19:17

no,no,no, yorkshire puds are only to be served with Roast Beef!!!

DimpledThighs · 18/12/2006 20:19

yes in my house - dd favourite!

busybusymum · 18/12/2006 20:21

yes here too. DC love them

sillysausages · 18/12/2006 20:23

yes yes yes - dh thought this was a strange at first but now knows you have to have them

octobermum · 18/12/2006 20:28

Yes, as dd will not eat potatoes of any kind. Also mum's doing beef so that be ok.

SantaGotStuckUpTheGreensleeve · 18/12/2006 20:28

Haven't had them with Christmas dinner in the past but am going to do them this year. I might put the pigs in blankets in them (always mindful of the need to free up room on the plate)
