Christmas cards - how many have you sent?

Normally there is a thread about how people 'aren't doing Christmas cards' and they want to 'save the trees' and just give directly to charity anyway...

But I haven't seen one this year. Is that because it is a given people don't send them anymore?

I've only received 4 so far (admittedly I haven't sent them out yet) but used to receive loads.

Am I the only one to experience a sudden drop off?

About 15. Kids did their classes at school. I just cannot be bothered to do it anymore - the amount the charities receive for charity cards is negligible and he royal mail prices just pass me off.

I've sent 14. Parents, grandparents, siblings, aunts and uncles. Then the kids have done them for school too.
Think the majority have sent one back. I love doing Christmas cards partially as I love receiving them so won't ever stop.

I've posted 2 as they live far away but the cost of postage is ridiculous!

I've written one to each next door neightbour.

1 per household to family ( dh used to go crazy getting for example, one with 'Mum' on, one with "Dad" on, one with "Grandad" on and one with "Grandma" on all for his parents, which is a bit overkill of you ask me ( and yes I think the same for my parents).

I'll probably write a few (a very few) to close friends.

Then at work we do a collection for Oxfam.

around 45, which seems mad, Ive left people out too cos I ran out of cards. Ive a few left to hand deliver and a couple whos address I cant remember.

WombatChocolate · 17/12/2015 10:22

I posted 20, DH posted about 25, we hand delivered to local friends we don't see regularly about 20 and DC did about 15 to friends, teachers, Brownie leaders etc = about 80 for our household.

Reckon we have received about 50 so far, with a good third being from children.

I try not to give to friends I see regularly, but give to people I don't see that often. In particular, I have friends of the past, who were great friends back in the day, at school or Uni or when I lived elsewhere in early jobs etc......we don't see each other much/if ever now, but I would be so sad to lose touch completely, even if it is only a couple of sentences in a Christmas card. The postage is fairly expensive, but I think it is worth it.

None. Haven't sent any for ten years.

I prefer to ring people around this time of the year.
