If you can manage it, without wearing a nice little white jacket that ties at the back then I would do it.

GlennCloseAsCruellaDeVille · 10/12/2006 17:32

sounds like a test of good relations to me

but if you enjoy it!

GlennCloseAsCruellaDeVille · 10/12/2006 17:33

We did pre-christmas drinks with a few friends and neighbours last night and it was great fun. Most had gone by 12 and then just as we thought the last one would leave soon, the doorbell rang and our next door neighbour arrived with a bottle of port.........well, it'd have been rude not to let him in, so we were there until about 1.45 just chilling.

I loved it, but will be taking advantage of invitations from friends who are having their bashes on boxing Day and NYE! Once is enough for me.

Carmenere · 10/12/2006 17:59

Yes you should, as long as your dh is supportive and helps with the tidying up. My mum is incredibly hospitible and growing up we had parties and dinner parties very regularly in our house and it has given me the loveliest memories and I hope to be as hospitible in the future when we make a few more friends.
I am having a Christmas party this year but am not sure of the date yet. Just going to do mulled wine and mince pies for neighbours and a few friends but I really want to

HarkTheAEROdAngelsSing · 10/12/2006 18:18

Can I come Carmenere? Cadbury and I thought of you as we made our way (well, she had one glass.........) through a rather delightful bottle of red!

Carmenere · 10/12/2006 18:19

Yes, of course you can, all chocolate is very wellcome. Chocolate and red wine go very well together

Carmenere · 10/12/2006 18:26

TBH that would be a lot of extra work. Just do two.

wickedwinterwitch · 10/12/2006 18:26

I'd do however many you want to do. If you like them why not? I would find 3 v stressful I think.

jampots · 10/12/2006 18:27

hmm maybe do the neighbours drinks thing and a NYE (different guests to each one though)
