Help - i have no idea what to get for DD aged 4 1/2

I feel totally useless but have absolutely no idea what to get my DD, she is 4 1/2.

DS is getting a ride on digger and I am stuck with ideas for DD. I am worried she will compare the actual size of her present as opposed to the value (which she wont understand).

They don't need toys really - we are drowning in them and have no space really.

So far she has a hex bug, a care bear and some books (she loves being read to).

She is very creative, loves singing, music and loves craft stuff (which we have loads of), she has a bike already.

DD is also very enquiring and loves the outdoors.

She has dolls but wont choose these all the time - she plays with her brother using more imaginative play.

Please help me with some suggestions!

Play kitchen if she doesn't have one.

Trunk packed with dressing up outfits and accessories.

Scooter.

Easel/chalk board.

Craft hamper.

CD player with microphone and lots of CDs?

Leeds2 - what do you mean by a craft hamper please? They got the ikea kitchen last year from father Christmas and they both have lots of dressing up stuff - but they are great ideas thank you, she might like another dress.

What do you think about a keyboard?

A puppet theatre

Ds will get a play kitchen for birthday and magnetic whiteboard for Christmas so he can pretend to be at school. He has a kids' CD player from argos already and loves it. The book people have some great audio books for his age.

DD will be 4 1/2 at Christmas. She loves arts and crafts so I've got her lots of different craft kits - aquabeads, glitziglobes, playdoh. She loves board games and really wants disney princess guess who. She's also getting a bike and a pram.

Other things she loves are my little pony, barbies, disney princess, shopkins.

Oh and we have got a karaoke machine as well with a few different cds which DD will love!

Watching - I'm in exactly the same position.
I think that's why I've bought the singing elsa doll really even though it will drive me to distraction!
My mum's getting her a keyboard coz she keeps talking about learning piano but I'm really stuck

ooops I missed some posts - a CD player sounds like a plan. She is getting the Roald Dahl book set so the CDs may also be an option.

My DD is 4.5 yrs too she is getting... Canterlot Castle, a few small MLP and two Equestria girl dolls, toddler Anna doll to match Elsa from last year, blu blu the baby dolphin, Hama beads and a bunch of templates from Aliexpress and wooden beads to make necklaces etc

As a combined present with her 7yr old brother playmobil pool, car and caravan and campsite.

She's asked for a medical kit, a rocket that works, a walking Winnie the Pooh and a two wheel scooter. Plus a load of other random things.

She'll get some of that plus books, story CDs (she has a CD player)and an Aqua play set (to share with her sister) which I'm hoping will be good for the summer.

Ask her teacher what she likes to play with in school. How about Knex, Lego or a marble run.

If she likes imaginative play, why not make some role play boxes like a post office or shop. You could buy a till then add things like writing sets, stamps, cheap birthday cards, pens etc for post office play or food items and a shopping basket for shop play.

Or what about a desk and chair with stationary so she has a big present but something useful too.

Another vote for a puppet theatre. DS has one that folds away. Ticks the physically big box, doesn't take up space all the time and good for children who like imaginative play. Tell-tale puppets are great with it too.

They have all the other stuff as a colleague of DH gave dd a car full of toys from her grand daughter. She is a very lucky girl.

I like the post office idea with cards and stuff

I've got my dad a karaoke machine with mic and a fur coat. She has some other little bits, but that's the main thing.

Ooh thanks I'm getting some fab ideas; am also stuck for DD who is the same age. All I have so far are some lottie dolls. The camera idea is great!
I was also thinking of making up a fort kit with blankets (DD loves blankets!) fairy lights and maybe that massive soft toy dog from ikea for indoor camping?

Have you seen the pl-ug den building kits ipanicked?

The small one is £12.50 and would be great with a load of cheap and cheerful IKEA fleece blankets.

DD, another doll dodger, is getting some Sylvanian families stuff. My mum got her a small set last Christmas and it's been played with quite a bit so hopefully a new bigger one will turn out to be good play value.

I do hide some of the smallest parts though at this age (4.3).

That den building kit is great SitsOnFence. The small one would do for my DS. He's always building dens and getting frustrated when the blankets don't stay put.
