woodwaj · 13/11/2015 14:24

Cheeky saltrock with only 1 t-shirt. Not exactly what I had in mind Hmm

I also Googled rocksalt about 10 times before realising what I had done wrong. In my defence I've got a cold and baby had me up at 5 Blush

AllyourGreens · 13/11/2015 14:25

For anyone with Dennis the Menace fans, Home Bargain had really nice looking Dennis the Menace biscuit tins in. Not mastered active links on this tablet but

The rectangle one www.huntleyandpalmers.com/index.php/tins/the-beano-assortment-350g-special-selection-of-9-favourite-biscuits.html was £2.99 and the bus one www.huntleyandpalmers.com/index.php/tins/beano-double-decker-bus-choc-chip-cookies.html was for £3.99

I bought both, don't know what Huntley and Palmers biscuits are like obviously I will soon Grin (DH says they are pretty bog standard and nothing special) but bought them for the tins to house the numerous action figures and mini figures etc they will receive at Christmas.

flatmouse · 13/11/2015 14:28

A quick trip out at lunchtime reminded me why I do 90% of my shopping online! When in poundland I noticed they were doing 4 for £3 on choc advent calendars and selection boxes. Included frozen/Thomas/peppa.
Picked up my light saber key ring from O2 and my star wars chupa chups from WHSmiths !

Got a fantastic bargain in Magical Stories but that's just due to luck getting managers special this week that I was prepared to pay silly fully price for!
Few more things ticked off my list and came home to the latest amazon delivery!

AllyourGreens · 13/11/2015 14:29

Oh I obviously can do active links!
Wish HB had had the Wallace and Gromit ones on that site for the same bargainous price, I'd have got those for myself.

Allyourgreens I have a huge dennis the menace fan so he will love those. Not going to be able to get to HB for a week unfortunately... fingers crossed they will still have some left.

He's also a huge bourbon fan - I bought him the bourbon biscuit tin from waitrose from earlier on these threads. He's going to think all his christmases have come at once if he gets so many biscuit tins Xmas Grin

And if anybody else sees any good Beano or Dennis the Menace stuff - please shout! I've got the Complete Guide to the Beano from The Book People and will get the annual. But anything else would be fab (ds2 has spotted the Beano edition of Monopoly which he would like but it's nearly £40 and we already have ordinary monopoly so holding out against that at full price currently!)

EmGee · 13/11/2015 14:53

Trixy I missed the Barbie house too. Grr........ I refuse to pay any more that 50 pounds for it.

trixymalixy · 13/11/2015 14:55

I refuse to pay more than £50 too! Need to keep checking asda as it looks like it came back in stock there today, but I missed it.

I've bought the Argos Barbie home set as a backup, but really want the Malibu house!

ihatethecold · 13/11/2015 15:16

AmyMumsnet · 13/11/2015 16:10

Hello you bargainous lot.

We were quite inspired by all your finds and decided to pull together our own Christmas bargains page to help you save money over Christmas.

You can find it over here, and we'll be updating it every week so please do keep popping back to see which great brands we're featuring. If there are any you'd love to see which aren't on there, let us know and we'll see if we can work some Mumsnet magic.

Any ideas for my Mum and her husband who will be visiting us in early December? We are having an early mini Christmas so need something for them to open. The problem is they live abroad and will be travelling with only hand luggage so needs to be small and light. I made a photo album for them last year. [santa]

My local m&s had 3 musical tins!!

2 trees (different from laste year) and the penguin one Grin

VoldemortsNipple · 13/11/2015 17:43

d2 I've only just ordered the geek box also, so I can't comment on what's in the gift box or even if there is a tshirt in it. I'm just expecting it to be more geeky rubbish. My idea was to split the items up and put them in ds1 and ds2 stocking.

Badders123 · 13/11/2015 17:52

Supermario...how did you get your refund? I paid £79 a few week ago!
