PjDay- just an idea but if you're ordering 2 then why not order them both under different accounts/ email addresses then you'll get 2 extra welcome packs

BoringClare · 13/11/2015 09:53

Free delivery for orders over £10 at bookpeople with code WELFIREWORK this month.
Apologies if this has already been mentioned.

d270r0 · 13/11/2015 10:04

Actually, quidco does £5 casback for a 1 or 3 month subscription to my geek box.
So you can get 2 boxes (as you get free welcome box), normally £17.99 each, but use code RADAR10 for 10% off then use quidco for another £5 off in cashback. Comes to £11.19 total for 2 boxes. They do kids boxes as well as adults.

Can anyone please tell me the name of the toy shop beginning with the letter "T" a couple of threads back? ConfusedGrin A lot of people ordered from it (25% discount I think it was then) don't imagine the discount is still on but it had some items I was considering and now I can't find the blasted page!

itsonlysubterfuge · 13/11/2015 10:15

ThatsNotMyHouseItIsTooClean · 13/11/2015 10:16

You'reMyWife it would be time consuming, but could you put together a photo book for your MIL with pictures of your SIL in it?

margaritasbythesea · 13/11/2015 10:24

Thanks Nickdrakes

WheresMrMonkey · 13/11/2015 10:25

M&S biscuit tin for those wondering what it's like this year. Is has 3 separate images on it - 2 penguins and a star - which "move" when the tune plays

Tempted by My Geek Box for DD (nearly 9)... her big sister is getting a 3 month Kawaii box subscription and I'd like to find a decent equivalent. For those of you that have had the kids' one before, can you advise me on whether or not it'd be likely to appeal to her, or would it just add to the clutter? She's quite young for her age comapred to some of her friends... likes Lego, dolls, Harry Potter, Rapunzel, Disney, stationery. She's not really into anything Superhero related (she's quite 'girly'). I've tried watching a few unboxing videos on YouTube but I've now lost the will Confused.

woodwaj · 13/11/2015 11:16

wheres I've chosen toot toot for my 9 month old they do usually go into sales so might be worth hanging on till black Friday now and see what happens?

SymphonyofShadows · 13/11/2015 11:20

Thanks woodwaj

Not sure if anyway has mentioned upthread but M&S have got their Christmas sweets treat box half price too now at £5. It has jellies, popcorn, chocolate etc. I tried to post a pic but couldn't find it online.

d270r0 · 13/11/2015 11:28

Fairyjasmine, I haven't had it before, but I watched a kids box unboxing on youtube and it had a wonder woman t shirt, a superman figure, a 'planes' plane amongst other stuff. They look quite superhero based to be honest. I think they'd be ideal for boys or girls into that though. I think for your DD if shes girly it might not appeal. Maybe a magazine subscription?

Stompylongnose · 13/11/2015 11:29

Fairyjasmine It doesn't sound like your daughter would enjoy the GeekBox. I'd go for a craft based box instead.

Pooseyfrumpture · 13/11/2015 11:34

Lego Dimensions is on Amazon at £54 for Xbox360 - a fiver cheaper than Argos who are having a min-Black Friday today.

Pinkladymel · 13/11/2015 11:35

NEC FESTIVE FAYRE went to the show yesterday, absolutely rammed!!
Walk right to the back of the show and work your way to the front... That way you get less crowds!
Lots of beauty stalls doing amazing demos on nails etc but the things can be bought for 1/10 of the price online.

Loads of people buying massive 5 foot tall father Christmas and snow men for just £15
I got four posh bars of fudge for £7 in a nice box... You pick the flavours. Would make a fab present for difficult people.

BIGGEST BARGAIN was this amazing little stall that was only 1 table wide, covered in red signage saying 'clearance £2' and was a little Aladdin's cave of jewellery from big stores like debenhams, BHS, house of Fraser,NEXT. I got loads of boxed earrings a nd necklace sets for £2 with £10 price stickers on.

Another bargain place was a huge stall that on the outside looked like metal tat but if you go in there were huge bargains. I got a casth Kidston style oven glove, £1. Chalkboard heart (huge) £2 for using my chlk pens on. He will do deals too so ask!

Pinkladymel · 13/11/2015 11:41

fairyjasmine my daughter is exactly the same as yours! Same age, same interests. I've made mine a sort of geek box myself. Ali express do amazing wands from Harry potter for a few pounds. A time turned necklace for £1.04 and a snitch necklace for 54p! On Amazon there was a gift set of Harry potter sweets (Bertie Botts beans, a chocolate frog and jelly slugs) and they was in an offer of 4 items for 3 so I picked up a set for each child and some coffee. Primark had a Harry potter duvet, Slytherin bag and pyjamas for bigger presents. HTH!

Iggi999 · 13/11/2015 11:43

Poosey that's the cheapest I've seen Lego dimensions at, still trying to decide if it's a good game (without spending hundreds on all the extra figures).

fairyjasmine · 13/11/2015 11:47

Thanks all - I did watch that video but then the next one I clicked on seemed to be more princessy so I wasn't sure. It doesn't sound like it'd be worth the risk so I think I'll leave it. Pinklady that sounds amazing - I want one for me!!

MouldyPeach · 13/11/2015 11:50

Don't think anyone's posted this yet. Dorothy Perkins has 30% off everything on their site today here
