Just wondering what everyone is planning on getting their DDs for Christmas? The only thing mine has asked for is a 'polar express' bell! Already got one sorted, but I can't just get her that can I?? I'm torn between not wanting to spend lots of money on something big just for the sake of it, and feeling tight that she'll only have a small pile of presents! We'll obviously get her a selection of small bits and bobs to go with it!

Also we now have DS (6mo) who doesn't care about presents, but we're going to have to get him something as I reckon DD will be sad if Santa has forgotten him. Would it be terrible to wrap up some nappies and cartons of milk (as this are the things he needs!) he already has LOADS of toys/books/walker/bouncer/clothes etc. I'm really not a fan of pointlessly spending money!

My DDs are older than yours but the year that DD2 was almost 3 she got:
A Hello Kitty Scooter
Rapunzel dolls (she loved Tangled at the time but they never get played with now)
Little People toys - these still get played with now 2 years on.
I can't remember what else but last year (3 nearly 4) she got a shop with food, books, little live bird and Tickle Me Olaf.

Do you have any of your DD's old baby toys to give to DS for Christmas? When Dd2 was a baby we had loads of DD1's baby toys in the loft and we wrapped them for Dd2. DD1 couldn't remember ever having them and DD2 obviously didn't know that they weren't new. We did get her a few new things too before anyone accuses me of being tight Grin, it just seemed silly buying extra when the house we lived in, at the time, was small and no space to put them.

My dd2 age 3.5 at Christmas isnt having a big gift just lots of bits we know she will love.

A big hit here is the ikea tent - has wow factor, santa left it set up in the lounge last year. Was only £17 but been used loads, me and both dd's fit inside.

For your ds2 is there any equipment he might need that u would be buying soon that u could wrap? Carseat, stroller, highchair, footmuff?

Or get dd to help write a santa list for your ds? My dd1 was just turned 4 when dd2 was 6 months she said she would like new dummies, a cup and a cuddly toy. There's also those jingly bells on a stick u could get for him to match dd's bell?

DD will be 3.7
She's getting a wooden dolls house ( if I ever win a bloody eBay bid for a specific one I want!)
Some new colouring pencils
A new outfit
She's also sharing some more train track and some wooden Thomas trains with DS
She will get some stocking filler type things too. Book, hair clips etc...

DD2 will be 3.5 at Christmas, she is getting from us:
Sylvanian cottage, cat family
Knitted Mermaid soft doll
Ariel Costume
Barbie fairytale dress-up doll

I was done but she has a very recent Paw Patrol obsession so I am getting her the Everest pup vehicle set. It will go in her sack (don't do stockings), along with art, craft bits, MLP, chocs etc

Were getting 3yo DD the Asda wooden dolls house. (Was going to get the ELC one but can't really see where the extra £50 is going into it.), a couple of room sets from amazon and she's getting my old Sylvanian figures, couple of Studio Ghibli DVDs (she looooves Totoro) and Pop up Pirate (something we can all play together). This is the first year of a stocking but it's very much stuff that will 'come in' knickers, clips, bobbles, felts, stickers, chocolate, a dr suess and a Miffy book. My mum is getting her a dolls pram and my sister is getting her a doll.

Last year when ds2 was 9 months he got a cup, some rice cakes, biscotti, pjs and a couple of books. Of course he couldn't have cared less but his brother and sister would have been upset if he didn't have anything.

I have a 5yo dd so I can't really offer advice there as a lot of the things I have got her aren't suitable for a 3yo. Sorry.

About presents for your younger one, were in the same situation. Our plan is to pull DDs baby toys from the loft and wrap some of them up so Santa won't appear to have forgotten her little sister.

Just letting all parents of 3 year olds know that DD got Duplo Creative cakes for her birthday and has played RELENTLESSLY with it ever since!. It's been a total hit if anyone is stuck for an idea. I've now ordered her the creative ice cream set to go with it for Christmas as I'm sure she will love it as an addition.
