Stocking fillers for toddlers?

Any lovely ideas? For children aged 1-4yrs? I have already brought them a book each, so just wanted something to accompany it, not chocolate though unfortunately thank you!

Bubble bath, stickers, a torch, socks, crayons, hot wheels car. I'm sure there's loads more but that's all of the top of my head.

So far I have bath foam, bath crayons, animals for the bath, tractor stickers, mini digger, zoo in a tin and a sparkly tractor beaker. Sensing a theme??

Wilko have some great little stocking fillers at good prices. I picked up stuff for my toddler like a wooden necklace and bracelet, individual small instruments and a toy plastic zebra as she loves zebras, all for around £1/£1.50 each.

Home bargains is the bees knees!

My one year old has Peter Rabbit crayons, a wooden dumper truck/puzzle, a pig shaped night light and cat shaped castanets. I've yet to make the stocking but that's another story!

My DD will be 13 months and in her stocking she has....

Tiger is fantastic for stocking fillers! I get loads of mine there. DD will be just 3 at Christmas and so far I have:

• small wooden castanets
• small wooden kaleidoscope
• Tiger bubble mix - fab value at 2 for a pound!
• fluffy socks
• mini penguin biscuits from M&S, Polar Bear and Penguin range
• white choc coins from Sainsbury's, 70p on a 3 for 2 offer
• colour changing bath ducks, Tiger
• Carousel wooden maraca, 30p in the sale box in Tesco!
• finger puppets, IKEA
• magic wand, Tiger
• glitter bouncy ball
• sachet of fizzing bath crackles (£1 in Boots)
• Hair slides and ties, Tiger

I'll also get a CBeebies magazine closer to Christmas, and she'll get a satsuma and an apple. I'm also looking out for a mini cuddly toy for her too.

Last year age 2 she got:

Aged 1 she had new bibs (not impressed by those!), a big choc coin, a bath duck, and a few other bits, but was most keen on the shiny paper....

These are great ideas! I hate the plastic tat element of lots of stocking fillers, and loads of these ideas are fab.

I tend to buy a fair bit of practical stuff - bubble bath (a nicer kind than DD usually gets, but not expensive), socks, pants, vests, mittens, toothbrush/toothpaste (character or fancy ones), as well as toys and some sweeties.

Someone sent a link to some great beakers, so I brought those, and I also brought some soft toys, stickers, colouring in books and placemats, came to about £13!

Wilko has good cheap wooden musical toys, like mouth organs, recorders ( or they did when last there) I also got some hexbugs in a tube...some furry things that move from science museum, some jumping beans, a wind up minion toy. Some chocolate coins, satsuma, some arty googly eyes and foam stamps, probably some bath bubble stuff...

someone mentioned sugared mice, will probably try and track down some of those too.

Limbo John Lewis had sugared mice in the Christmas sweets department when I was there last week, you could probably find some cheaper elsewhere though!
