Sorry here's the ecookshop link

yumyumpoppycat · 10/11/2015 09:14

Groupon used through Topcashback was offering 8% cashback - they have a toy section which is worth a look and included a copy zoomer kitty for £25 (proper zoomer one is £75 in argos and closer to £90 everywhere else) annoyingly I bought the proper one earlier yesterday on argos 3 for 2 but still about half RRP so not so bad.

Pooseyfrumpture · 10/11/2015 09:22

Is anyone else tempted by the £34 Thorntons hamper? www.thorntons.co.uk/product/Chocolate-Essentials-Hamper/productVariantId/1150/1139.uts

Is there going to be a better deal closer to Christmas, do you think?

CRtester · 10/11/2015 09:31

Oops sorry, stocking fillers ideas would be for 2 and 5 year old boys. Any suggestions gratefully received!

Off to look at groupon - didn't realise they had a toy section.

Also, does anyone know if Sainsburys show all their toys on their website? I'm waiting to use my nectar points in their double up event, so thought I'd start working out what I want to buy. Online the selection looks a bit limited - a reasonable amount, but I'm sure I've seen more in store.

Oh and thanks to those who replied about hotel chocolat. I ordered about 2 weeks ago, so good to know I'm not the only one still waiting.

And thanks for this thread. I've bought loads of the suggestions - molton brown, hotel chocolat, Gotrovo, tq toys. You've all saved me a fortune Flowers

DangerousMouse · 10/11/2015 09:46

I can't get the ecookshop code to work :(

asuwere · 10/11/2015 10:16

I saw this biscuit tin in tesco yesterday and thought it would be good with a chalk pen :) (the bit on hippo is a sticker and easy to remove)

TobleroneBoo · 10/11/2015 10:20

I am trying to get 2 new release blu-rays,but obviously would like to make a saving! Best I have found is Tesco doing 2 for £25

Has anybody seen anything better?

Letustryagain · 10/11/2015 10:35

Poosey, they generally do half price hampers around now and they're fairly good for Xmas.

Bit of advice though, make sure you take out any of the 'mint' chocolates. By the time we opened ours on Xmas Eve last year ALL the chocolates tasted of mint because the smell was so strong. Totally ruined them to be honest Sad. The one we got the year before didn't have mint in though and they were all fab!!

Pooseyfrumpture · 10/11/2015 10:40

Lets it's £80 down to £34, so a bargain.

WheresTheCoffee · 10/11/2015 10:43

DS has made a special request for the Simpsons Lego house, has anyone seen this anywhere with a discount please? I'd love to be able to get it for him but it's an eye watering £175!!Shock

yumyumpoppycat · 10/11/2015 10:56

My dh loves a toy/gadget Groupn had a mini hover copter thing which I might get for mine was about £16. There was one for about £30 or £4 that records videos from the sky. Grin @ starwars notebook.

yumyumpoppycat · 10/11/2015 10:57

The only offers on simpsons house I noticed were on the lego website but it wasn't for money off, it was a free gift.

yumyumpoppycat · 10/11/2015 10:59

I am tempted by Thorntons offer...hmmmm would I get away with giving everyone throntons for christmas.

Boysclothes · 10/11/2015 11:04

I too fancied the thorntons but it says best before end nov 15. I know it's only advisory etc but I wouldn't fancy handing out the Christmas chocs and they were past the date....

ChillyChillyIcebat · 10/11/2015 11:13

WheresTheCoffee You will struggle to get a great deal on the Simpsons house

Smyths toys have it in stock and have a £12 off £100 spend on their site.

ToysRUs have it you will get a £15 voucher to spend, and a free lego bricktober set that you can ebay for £15

or if you go with the lego store, you will get 3 extra simpsons figures (£7.50), a free christmas train (ebay value between £15 and £30), and 179 VIP points where 100 points =£5

PinkSquash · 10/11/2015 11:26

I got the £34 box when they had £5 off over £25 and there was only one box that was BBE Nov 15. The others were Jan-June 2016.

MTWTFSS · 10/11/2015 11:26

Very code...

Thread 9: the one with the christmassive bargains
gruffaloshmuffalo · 10/11/2015 11:28

My Thorntons box had best before dates of Feb/may next year, even though it said Nov.

yumyumpoppycat · 10/11/2015 11:29

Thanks boys I can cross the thorntons off my list then as no way I want to eat that much choc and couldnt give it as a christmas day gift.

Just spent ages looking at m&s sale. Not amazing but a few nice kids bits for my dds. I still need to look at la redoute before I order.

yumyumpoppycat · 10/11/2015 11:30

Oh! reconsiders thorntons....

imbe123 · 10/11/2015 11:33

Thanks

WheresTheCoffee · 10/11/2015 11:50

Thanks Yumyum and Chilly! I'll have a look at ToysrUs and the Lego site

eastmidswarwicknightnanny · 10/11/2015 12:21

Baba not seen an Octonauts busy book and we have many but the works do loads other Octonauts books and they were on 10 for £10 recently

SnozzberryPie · 10/11/2015 12:28

hello all, I've been following this thread but not posted before. I have just gone on maternity leave and my mission is to get my Christmas shopping done before the baby arrives (which could be any time - I am 37 weeks and dd was early). I think I will be mostly buying online as getting into town is a bit of a mission these days.

So far I have bought way too many presents for my 3 year old dd and nothing for anyone else. I ordered quite a few things from mothercare's toy sale (apologies if this as already been posted).

SnozzberryPie · 10/11/2015 12:29

ps I have no real ideas what I am looking for except DP needs some new pants, if anyone has seen any!
