Has anyone tried getting Argos to price match? I've noticed that very have some bargainous toy prices, albeit not in stock, and wondered if anyone has had any luck. Also whether you can use the 342 if you've had a price match?

ja9r · 08/11/2015 13:29

Grinat cookie jar memories. And robot gate. And MN scarves.

NaturalBlondeYeahRight · 08/11/2015 13:39

Anyone else got the fear of

  1. going to the regular shops
  2. missing a deal by a day
  3. buying anything not mentioned on here Smile
IHopeYouStepOnALegoPiece · 08/11/2015 13:41

PjDay · 08/11/2015 14:42

Oh god the cookie jars... I must not take the DC's to Aldi! Confused

PinkSquash · 08/11/2015 14:48

Ohh cookie jars! I don't shop in Aldi, but like the Xmas goat, it's a must buy.

Who is going to have a tizzy over them this year? Wink

SpottyTheDogWink · 08/11/2015 14:52

As well as the cookie jars ... the HDUK drama Grin

loveliesbleeding1 · 08/11/2015 15:00

Ferrero rocher grand are 4 pounds at asda.

Rockchick1984 · 08/11/2015 15:05

Really curious now - what was the drama about the cookie jars???

FireflyGirl · 08/11/2015 15:18

Was a lurker the first year, and NCd this year, but I remember the cookie jars, robot-gate and HDUK drama.

I always run away quickly whenever I post anything from HDUK now, but a lot of people don't check it - I never used to until the poster who posted their deals was run off the thread and I had to start doing my own bargain hunting

SirNiallDementia · 08/11/2015 15:23

According to their website and catalogues, Toys R Us are giving away a free Nerf Tactical Vest when you spend over £35 on Nerf stuff till 29/11/15.

Went into our local branch today and they have taken down all the promo signs for this offer because they have run out of the free Vests.

BUT when I asked at the till, the lady got the manager over and he said that when they run out of the Vests, they are giving a Nerf Mega Thunderbow worth £39.99 away instead!

So we got this for free! www.toysrus.co.uk/toys/nerf-n-strike-mega-thunderbow/0125782

So it might be worth a visit to your local Toys R Us if you need any Nerf stuff!

Thank you to whoever posted the bargain Rocketdogs at Sports Direct. Got shoes and boots for myself and DD (will have to resist giving them to her earlier and putting them up for xmas as she will sulk when she sees mine!) including £6 glittery ballet pumps, perfect for festive parties! Also grabbed some nasty £4 sweatpants for DP to slob around in

There are also lots of cheap stocking filler type things in the Xmas section and in the clearance section. Would never have looked at Sports Direct in a billion years if I hadn't read about the Rocketdogs on here so thank you :)

Weemee · 08/11/2015 15:28

Thanks Djelibeyb for the Nintendo 2DS tip! Flowers

For anyone else hoping to get it, I had to persevere, no one in the store I went to knew what I was talking about and neither did customer services when I called them to see if they could say if any stores had it. Turns out my store had run out, but another nearby had them in!

LikeSilver · 08/11/2015 15:34

Hooray! Tesco Superstore to the rescue.
