Seller in last one also sells set of three and one on its own

HoneyDragon · 07/11/2015 22:37

Not been on the threads this year (yet) as I'm doing it more last minute this year due to house move and finances, but small tip, if any of the toys on Debenhams are out of stock, if you ask nicely they'll price match in store.

Got the Star Wars advent for £20 in my local Debenhams and obviously saved on delivery costs Smile

happsymum · 07/11/2015 22:39

Thank you everyone for generously sharing bargains, pretty much done with my Christmas shopping xxx

Hefnur · 07/11/2015 23:23

Total lurker on this thread (and boards in general) but thought you guys might appreciate this Facebook page (Don't get stuffed by Christmas - bargain hunters) - loads of the Amazon flash toy deals are listed. Hope it helps someone www.facebook.com/turkeybargains/

cookiefiend · 08/11/2015 00:29

Dayslikethis I know NOTHING about consoles, but noticed on hefnurs don't get stuffed by Christmas link that the console plus Fifa games plus another game (black ops?) bundle is the same price on Amazon as the bundle with just the console and Fifa game. So either he could get an extra game into the bargain or he could sell the additional game to help fund the extra handset.

x box bundle £289

Djelibeyb · 08/11/2015 06:27

Instore only offer from Tesco.
Nintendo 2ds (the one that doesn't fold, no 3D function but runs most DS games. Fab for smaller kids in particular) preloaded with Mario Kart 7. £49. Min price is £75 elsewhere from our research.

waitrosefizz · 08/11/2015 06:50

Amazon has four for £10 on children's sticker and activity books until 15/11

Frugi has £10 off a £30 spend with code Jingle. [i am sitting on my hands as DD doesn't need anymore clothes but I love Frugi!]

OneoftheseBoxes · 08/11/2015 07:43

Thank you everyone for all the tips, been doing brilliantly thanks to you.

Can anyone help me with what makeup brand would be good for a 16 year old for a decent present? Want to get good makeup but not sure what's also desirable. Stila? Benefit? Don't mind spending a bit (for goddaughter)

PamelaEwing · 08/11/2015 07:55

Ok, so who's been on these threads long enough to remember talking cookiejar-gate a few years ago?!!!

Well, love them or hate them, they're back at Aldi this Thursday for £14.99!!

FernArable · 08/11/2015 07:55

Lego- None of what I wanted was in stock at Argos for the 342 so I looked at Toysrus. At the moment they have spend £45 and get a choice of 4 sets free (worth £15) plus you can stack offers and if you spend £25 on Lego Friends you get a free activity book (£7). They also have up £5 or so off some of their sets.

So instead of 2 medium Lego sets and a game (because they didn't have a third Lego set at equivalent price to make 342 worth it) from Argos for £45. I've paid £47 at Toysrus for 2 medium, 1 small and 2 mini Lego sets and a book. Plus they had everything I wanted in stock at Toysrus which is great because DD wanted the popstar dressing room but I wanted to get her the jungle rescue set, she won't mind!

yumyumpoppycat · 08/11/2015 07:58

With Argos - try ebay argos outlet they are doing 3 for 2 and select click and collect for free delivery. The website works a lot better than the argos one. I managed to get the sets I wanted. I was going to buy a random star wars set though which was available but had sold out when I tried again later yest.

PamelaEwing · 08/11/2015 07:59

And whilst at Aldi, what about these hamper kits.

Either a 4 bottle willow basket with section dividers for 4 bottles or a do it yourself basket with all the bits you need to make your own hamper?

TobleroneBoo · 08/11/2015 08:09

boxes
Probably benefit, you can get nice gift set boxes. In boots last year they had a really good set on offer which had loads is miniatures

Reastie · 08/11/2015 08:10

Untamed I think/hope it's just you! Try again today and maybe message mnhq if it continues.

Hi, not posted on the bargain threads before... I'm looking for a small Yankee Jr. Christmas Eve candle, has anyone seen one on offer? Thanks [santa]

Chrisinthemorning · 08/11/2015 08:41

Quite a good price for this bike. We have it in red and DS loves it

scandichick · 08/11/2015 08:42

boxes, I love makeup but don't rate benefit anymore (overpriced). One of the urban decay palettes would be a great present, maybe not the naked ones though as they're a bit boring. If there's a time for electric blue eye shadow, it's at sixteen!
Sleek is cheaper and also do lovely palettes for eyes and cheeks, and have a great eyebrow set. You can get it at boots.
Mac is good too if you want something more pricy - maybe a voucher for foundation? Most people I knew as a teen went the orange route, maybe being properly matched could help her avoid that.

MTWTFSS · 08/11/2015 08:47

waitrosefizz Thank you for the Amazon book info :)

LocalEditorKent · 08/11/2015 08:54

Saw this iron man dressing up outfit in my local BM Bargains for £6.99, went and bought it yesterday and it came up as £3.99! Smile

They had a batman one too I think...should have picked up that one too!

OneoftheseBoxes · 08/11/2015 09:16

Scandi thank you for the makeup tips. A few I haven't heard of there (perhaps embarrassingly) - will take a look!
