Tiny gifts for reusable advent calendars

I just found two reusable advent calendars in a charity shop, they're a great idea, thank you whoever donated them!

Baby is only 6 months old though and DSD won't be with us now until after xmas, so they'll be for me and DP this year. Any suggestions for what to put in them?

I can just about fit three large chocolate coins in each pocket so that gives an idea of size - something other than sweets would be good for some days!

For you and dh - something saucy?!! Was thinking condom. (Though maybe not if you are heavily pregnant).

I make homemade vouchers for things like an extra bed time story for the kids so you could modify this to an adult treat
Also I pit in a poem the day I put on the Christmas duvets on the beds or if we are going to town to look at the lights so maybe if you were able to organise use a night out?
You could just put 'clues' in the pockets eg have a nice bottle of wine in the fridge.

Keyring
Silk handkerchief
Cloth for cleaning glasses
Shampoo sachet
Lipsalve or tiny tin of vaseline
Magnetic letters spelling his name, one a day
Comemmorative coin or stamps

Oh thanks these are brilliant - yes definitely a condom, and a note saying there's wine in the fridge... :)

Can't wait to use them for the kids in a couple of years!

Lego? Works for now, and for future for the dc.

I buy a Lego set (sometimes the seasonal ones, or maybe a creator set) and then divide it up into one instruction per day (photocopy the instructions and cut up). The dc get the single instruction and relevant bricks each day, without knowing what they are actually building. They like to (try to) guess as advent goes on.

Might not work if you're not into Lego thoughGrin

magic bath beans were a hit with toddlers. I think they also sell via ebay. Something for you but to use with the baby.

More excellent ideas, thanks! I'll have fun thinking of more things over the next few weeks :)

The gingerbread house is a Christmas promotion, MrsDeath. I think it's released towards the end of November/beginning December(will check dates in a mo), free with a spend of about £60

PandasRock · 07/11/2015 10:44

November 27 for the gingerbread house offer, free with purchases over £60.

I've persuaded DD to keep her Halloween sweets to put in her calendar. Obviously less useful for you.

We put the figures from the nativity scene in ours.
