Or not? I do, but just curious.

Yes but with cheapy paper and minimal Sellotape.

snowgirl1 · 02/11/2015 12:26

I do wrap pressies in DH's stocking and have done in DD's stocking, but might stop wrapping DD's (or at least some bits) as she's only little (4) and in previous years has got wrapping fatigue.

BlossomCat · 02/11/2015 12:28

Yes, and it definitely has to be in different paper to the main presents, as Father Christmas brings the stocking, and families provide the rest.

My two are 14 and 16, but this tradition still continues!

StealthPolarBear · 02/11/2015 12:34

Yes but not particularly well

Chocolateteabag · 02/11/2015 12:36

In my family no - too many children in my DGM's family I think and tradition was started then.
But they are wrapped in DH's family even when there have been no "believers"
Waiting for DS1 to clock this Grin

5madthings · 02/11/2015 12:37

Yes but with cheap paper and minimal tape and I curse doing it every year. It was fine with just two kids but with five stocking worth of stuff to wrap it's a bloody chore!

Snausage · 02/11/2015 12:37

No, all items in our stockings are unwrapped.

ARightOldPickle · 02/11/2015 12:40

Yep always wrapped, but not very neatly! I've learned not leave it until Christmas Eve cos it always takes far longer than I expect it to!

EvansOvalPiesYumYum · 02/11/2015 12:41

I wrap some things, not all. For instance, if a gooey toy needs to be felt as a hand delves into the stocking, that should not be wrapped, as it is fun for me to witness them coming across it unexpectedly (although, after 20+ yrs of gooey toys in stockings, its probably not unexpected any more, tbh) [santa]

Don't wrap the satsumas or apples either . . .

Notso · 02/11/2015 13:01

Yes, it buys me more time to make a brew and get the turkey in.

ChristmasZombie · 02/11/2015 13:07

No. I just unceremoniously shove the stuff in!

Fueledwithfairydustandgin · 02/11/2015 13:14

Yes. When DS is older it will be with lots of sellotape for him to open in his own room (if he ever bloody moves out of ours Hmm )

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeG0es · 02/11/2015 13:16

Yes, all wrapped. No fruit here!

ReggaeShark · 02/11/2015 13:17

Yes. Makes it last longer.

OutToGetYou · 02/11/2015 13:17

No, just shove it in.

Then FC brings one present which is wrapped in his special paper which always has his own picture on so we know it's from him.
The rest are from family and wrapped in different paper.

megletthesecond · 02/11/2015 13:21

No.

MegBusset · 02/11/2015 13:25

Yes, any extra time I can spend in bed while they unwrap is a bonus!

LumelaMme · 02/11/2015 13:30

Yes. I use recycled paper from previous years and don't make a very neat job of it, and I always do it a few weeks before Christmas to get it out of the way.

I think there would be a riot if I didn't bother - my DC don't refer to 'when we get our stockings' but to 'when we unwrap our stockings'. It spins out the fun.

OSETmum · 02/11/2015 14:08

Nope, the stocking is the wrapping!

trixymalixy · 02/11/2015 15:26

yes, it prolongs the present opening fun.

DrasticAction · 02/11/2015 15:30

Yes I will for older one, will leave a few things un wrapped and will leave most un wrapped for younger ( fatiuge)

EvansOvalPiesYumYum · 02/11/2015 16:11

it prolongs the present opening fun

Also, it makes the stocking SOUND more interesting. All crackly and rustly. I use Christmassy ski socks, so you see all the lumps and bumps and funny shapes. (Ooh - getting all excited now)!!

d270r0 · 02/11/2015 16:22

I don't wrap edible stuff, but most other stuff gets wrapped. I think its more fun that way.

SmileAndNod · 02/11/2015 16:37

Yes in a mix of brightly coloured tissue paper and santa paper. Only things thatgo in unwrapped are the clementine and the comic. I love wrapping the stockings and the unwrapping on our bed on Xmas morning.

We re getting a puppy at the weekend but I probably won't wrap his. Or let him on the bed Grin

WhispersOfWickedness · 02/11/2015 16:44

No, not at all.
My DC are still little enough to want to carefully examine each item and their stockings are quite roomy, so we would be there weeks if we had to factor in unwrapping as well Grin
