Thanks so much for all suggestions. He doesn't like to feel restricted so thashes about like a fish out of water if I "tie him" in a gro bag. Won't wear socks either but will wear a baby grow with feet. Mad as a hatter!!! Will check primark first then maybe get a posh one for best!

Anyone who needs any DVD box sets etc have a look at zoom. Use code SIGNUP20 which still works to get 20% off all prices which include delivery. I have ordered a few things before- no problems. Just got series 1-5 of Friday Night Lights for £16. They have quite a few shows.

Re buying a Kindle from Amazon.de and then switching to the Amazon.co.uk store - I've done it, but have addresses registered with Amazon in both Austria (so Amazon.de is my "local" site) and the UK (as I sometimes have orders sent to my parents' address). It was fairly straightforward but, as someone else has already said, probably not possible if you don't have an address in a German-speaking country.

You're not really supposed to do it, though; Amazon.de seems to be a lot stricter about you not using their Kindles outside German-speaking countries if you're registered on the Amazon.de Kindle site. I've never had any problems since switching to Amazon.co.uk but DD2 uses Amazon.de for her Kindle, once downloaded a book while we were over in the UK and had quite a stern email from Amazon.de saying that their Kindles are only intended to be used by residents of German-speaking countries - we had to email them proof that she actually lives in Austria.
