Mini Micro Scooter

ok, so I am hoping someone can help, though I fear it may be impossible! My DD1 (4) has a mini micro scooter, which she loves. Now my DD2 (18months), has taken a huge interest in it. So for Christmas I am thinking of getting DD2 a mini micro 3 in 1 scooter, however at £85 I was wondering if anyone knows any vouchers etc to get it cheaper?

Also any other suggestions would be welcomed :)

Following! I enter all their FB comps n hope of winning one!

Have you ever had her try a 3 in 1? My younger two had one and really didn't get on with it. The wheels seemed to be in the wrong place.
They loved the skuttlebug at that age, and it wasn't until three that they started scooting. By which time your elder may be ready for a two wheeler.

Sorry to not answer your actual question.
Here is the skuttlebug.

I won't recommend the 3 in 1, DS started on a mirco at 22 months whilst DD got her first one at 28 months and both mastered it reasonably quickly. DD is now using a maxi micro at 5 whilst DS will be getting a maxi for his 3rd birthday (he is very tall and physical boy though).

We've just bought DS's from Poppy and Zach, they've got 10% off micro scooters at the moment, you should also be able to get a further 7% off with the code OCTPROMO7.

I haven't had her try the 3 in 1 scooter no, just her sisters! Sorry to ask, but can you take the scuttlebug out and about?

Thanks

A lot of mumsneters use this German site. Even with shipping the micro scooters are cheaper than in the UK and my DDs arrived in 3 days.

RoganJosh · 29/10/2015 19:50

Yes, the skuttlebug is fine outside. We used to take it to the park etc.

RoganJosh · 29/10/2015 19:51

I'm spelling it wrong. It's a scuttlebug.

Misty9 · 29/10/2015 20:46

My two are the exact same ages op, and my 18mo is also very interested in the scooter! She has a scuttlebug and hasn't really taken to it, seeming to find it difficult to push herself along, so I was also thinking of getting the sit on mini micro for her second birthday... Will watch this thread :)

Vote for the German Site, I got scooter and even with post it was £20 cheaper than any UK price I could find, all arrived well and good and good website.

StarDustMonkey · 29/10/2015 20:50

I looked at the German site, which looks great for the normal mini micro scooters, but unfortunately it doesn't do the 3 in 1 mini micro :(

We got DS the 3 in one at about that age, and he still uses it daily at three and a half. No idea about discounts - I paid £79 in John Lewis, from what I remember, and tbh, it's been worth every penny.

Iguessyourestuckwithme · 29/10/2015 20:52

My 22 month old loves the scooter and can ride it properly (currently trying to do tricks!) I wouldn't bother with the 3 in 1

EmGee · 30/10/2015 07:41

I got DD2 the 3-in-1 at aged 21 months. She loved it and zoomed around on it extremely speedily! She used the seat for about six months or so. I thought it was a good buy. However I bought it when there was 15% off and free delivery so that made it a bit cheaper.

DingbatsFur · 30/10/2015 07:53

I ordered from here
99santi99.com
About a year ago. His prices were very good, though it's a bit amateur and he now has an annoying pop up for his newsletter that blocks the site on my phone. Worth a look though!

Fueledwithfairydustandgin · 30/10/2015 20:30

I got mine in really good condition second hand for DS when he was 14 months and he loved it. I think it's been our best ever buy and everyone is always so impressed with it. So much better than the cheap ones. He is 18 months now and is like a speed demon on it

luckiestgirlintheworld · 31/10/2015 17:11

Just look for one second hand (eBay, gum tree etc) At 18 months they won't know the difference
