Everyone moans about it, but I love it! Far from keeping ontop of it, and doing a little at a time, im sitting on my hands to stop me wrapping up the presents ive got so far, so I can spend a nice evening wrapping a BIG pile Am I nuts?

weeeel, you know what they say about great minds, doncha??

twickersmum · 06/12/2006 00:13

i love it too
because it means the pressies are all bought and ready
which of course they are not this year...

NativityJane · 06/12/2006 00:19

I usually do love it, I do all the curly ribbons and bows, and I always do it all together so I get the full effect of all the pressies together, but with a huge bump in the way this year, I must confess to putting as much in gift bags as possible and the ones I have wrapped look more like a sack of spuds with a bow stuck on - very artistic. I think I might explain to DS that Father Christmas must have wrapped his pressies after a few too many mince pies this year!

GiraffeGotTheLastRoomInTheInn · 06/12/2006 00:24

I kind of like it- I like the idea of it, and I enjoy wrapping the first few, but I get really bored with all the presents half way through and have to put them away.

I also forget what I have bought people so some presents get wrapped twice!

mamama · 06/12/2006 00:39

I LOVE it too! I'm like you, Quootie, I save it all and do it in one go. I open some wine, put on a christmassy film or some music, spread everything out on the floor, organise gifts in piles for each receiver, lots of nice paper, bows, ribbons, tags etc and spend a very happy evening wrapping.

Used to love it. Handmade huge christmas crackers for my parents one year, stuffed full of lots of little pressies inside.

Cant be arsed these days. Prefer to spend my time baking.

chocolaterobin · 06/12/2006 01:13

I love it makes me feel really festive!

MerryChipmonkAndAHappyNewey · 06/12/2006 01:40

the only wrapping I like is me being wrapped in that seaweed stuff. Magic!

LunarSeasonsGreetings · 06/12/2006 07:45

I quite like it in a "this means all the shopping's done and there's light at the end of the tunnel" sort of way. Usually stick on Christmas music, make some mulled wine and warm up mince pies so it smells Christmassy too.

WhenSantaWentQuietlyMad · 06/12/2006 07:49

Well, I probably would like it if I got round to it any time before Xmas Eve! But the last minute frenzy always has me groaning and invoking the help of DH.

LieselVonGiftwrapp · 06/12/2006 08:31

No, I love it.

Plibble · 06/12/2006 08:49

I love it too and often end up doing it for other people. These christmas emoticons are great .

MerryBiglipsmas · 06/12/2006 08:54

i love it too and i get people asking me to do theirs as i find it so relaxing IF you do it right

expatinscotland · 06/12/2006 08:55

I HATE it. I also don't get it. I mean, it's so wasteful.

DH and I don't wrap each other's gifts. We usually buy them in each other's company as it is.

HuwEdwards · 06/12/2006 08:59

detest it - those of you who enjoy it are weirdoes imho.

Another one who loves it here QP.

I agree with the satisfaction in wrapping a nice neat box, which is why I am quite pleased nearly everyone is getting books/DVDs or similar!

Have yet to start wrapping but will at the weekend, Christmas film on the TV, wrapping paper at the ready....
