I've got a million stocking ideas but struggling with the big present (I'm happy to buy a range of medium presents iykwim if that is better, I don't need to buy something big for the sake of it!). She doesn't need a phone or tablet. She's mentioned a polaroid camera but just seems like a novelty item which will be forgotten quickly, not to mention the ££££ for the film! It's effectively £1 per picture [shock}! Any other ideas?

Thanks.

Having a similar problem.
Haven't asked dd yet (I still think it's too early to talk about Christmas outside of this topic!) but I'm going to get her a Polaroid now!
We thought about one last year and I totally forgot about them.
I'm happy to buy her film and she can buy more with her pocket money, will make her appreciate them not waste snaps.
And if she doesn't use it, I certainly will.

Is she into clothes/shoes at all? Mine is, particularly shoes and boots, no idea where she gets it from but she has a lovely selection of Dr martens in different colours and converse in various styles.

And smiggle. She's a huge smiggle fan although we do have enough stuff to start our own smiggle shop!

We bought our nearly 11yr old dd a Vtech camcorder.. Made especially for older kids and it's only £50.. Unlike the go pro camcorders that are £100-200.

She'll love it as she's always making videos with her Playmobil figures and minecraft toys. She fancies herself as a YouTube blogger (over our dead bodies! In a couple of years maybe)

£50 seemed a good price do if it is a fad, we've not wasted £200 on it

Same here. DD is 12 just two weeks before Xmas. She is having a new phone for her birthday and that that leaves me with no idea what to get her for Christmas.

She has mentioned a Polaroid camera but I don't really see the point when she already has a decent digital camera and the films are quite expensive too.

She has made a wish list with some books and a couple of those mindfulness colouring books on it.

Thinking about an ice watch but not sure if she likes them.

Got dd a Fuji instax last year. Expensive film, yes, so she's careful how she uses it - but it's great fun.

This year she would like this kind of stuff: a desk, an office chair, Zoella things, any art or crafty sets, Abercrombie top, shower gels & nail varnish, books and DVDs, a teddy and so on.

Yes CremeBrulee, those ice watches are very popular with girls in her class.

In the past I've bought tickets to theatre/ballet/concert/London fashion week/Harry Potter studios which have all gone down well.

Also nights away after Christmas to spend Christmas money (Edinburgh, Leeds, London) and I've popped the train tickets and hotel confirmation into a nice envelope

Dd has asked for a laptop and a printer, I wouldn't usually spend that much but I know I will use it too so it's going to be kind of a joint present. I'm struggling with small gifts for her, will probably get her some clothes, a onesie and a couple books.
