I love the M&S Mandarin cinnamon and clove candle except, it is absolute shite for throwing scent can barely smell it when lit.

I'm looking at the Neom Christmas Wish candle and wondering if I'll like it. Anyone have any other recommendations? I don't like pine or berry smells.

Thank you! Xmas Grin

Parks cinnamon and clove is gorgeous.

I find yankee candles are unparalleled for scent - they do a lovely Christmas range too. Smile

If you have a TKMax near you have a look in there. They will probably have a whole range of Chrstmas candles at really good prices. I like Parks, which can be found in TK.

Winter by The White Company is a lovely Christmassy smell.

I like colonial candles but I can't recommend a specific scent. I hate buying a new brand of candle as so many don't actually smell when lit. I am actually quite happy with the glade etc as they really smell but you have to be picky with which scent.

Love White Company Winter but find that also lacks scent, I like Yankee Candle but don't like their jars or the colours. I want simple jars and white candles but smell like Christmas!

Ok, my friend liked my Winter candle so bought the oil and put it in an oil burner. Not a candle I know... but it smelt more strongly.

LazySusan11 · 15/10/2015 20:24

Actually Cosmic I did think about putting some winter oil on wooden cedar balls and putting them in a container of sorts.

That's a good idea, I might try that.

Crabtree and Evelyn do/used to do an amazing Noel candle, the smell was incredible, so festive and not at all syntheticy

I like White Company Winter, but my fave candles are Neom.

LazySusan11 · 17/10/2015 12:33

I love the sound of the Noel Blue, is it more of a berry smell than a spice?

Lily flame candles are lovely. Have a look on Amazon for lily flame Christmas, they do a few different festive ones. You can check which ones appeal to your taste.

Neom's Christmas Wish has an excellent throw of scent - it is made with essential oils so nothing synthetic in it and you get a very clean burn. Just ordered one along with Perfect Peace. Am Neom addict.

ooh I don't know, it's just ... Christmas ... you can smell a bit of everything it it, but I wouldn't say it was berry sweet smelling.

I've looked on their website and this is how they describe it:

Noel is the quintessential Christmas fragrance. Notes of fresh balsams, persimmon and citrus are blended with spicy star anise, clove and nutmeg for a distinctive festive scent.

I've just had a look to see if I have a bit of one left in the house, but no. But I did find a RHS Vanilla and Cinnamon candle by Wax Lyrical, think you can get them in Waitrose, that smells very spicy, clovy.

I try a different one every year, but still always go back to Noel

Matalan has some gorgeous smelling candles I brought one the other day hiding it at my mums currently along with my other splurges as DP will go mad it's red and just smells of Christmas if that makes sense, they do one in a tin too which is very strong cinnamon smell! Not very expensive either.

We used to buy Neals Yard oils - cinnamon oil and mandarin oil , add to a burner with some water I think.

They don't smell good when they boil dry though Hmm bit choking.
