Christmas Day buffet

I really need some inspiration.

I am hosting Christmas dinner for 12 this year (one of guests is a chef!) and as I only have my tempremental Rayburn I thought a buffet where I could pre prepare some dishes would be a good way to take the pressure off.

How do I make a buffet Christmassy?
Myself and DCs are pescatarian.
Is it a ridiculous plan?

Help!

if you let everyone know in advance that it's a buffet otherwise I think you may have some disappointed guests.

If you prepare your turkey the day before or any other roast. Slice it so it can be warmed through in the day then you just have to do your veg.

What Currie said! I'd be gutted if I turned up for lunch and it was a buffet.

They are not keen on the traditional Christmas meal. I have been disappointed when they have hosted for us in the past! Many buffets (lovely as she is an awesome chef) have been had!

My DH , children and I, however do like it so wanting to keep it Christmassy but a bit different....

Could you do it like a hog roast? So roast pork/turkey sliced. Fresh bread buns, bowls of stuffing/apple sauce/cranberry sauce with loads of roast potatoes on the side?
