Thanks to all who replied about diet coke presents - love the candle

BanoffeePieIsMyFave · 10/10/2015 18:22

Oops posted too early - the candle can't be delivered to the UK, boo!
Also great ideas re recipes/can coolers/bracelet - thanks again!

PjDay · 10/10/2015 18:24

Have missed most of this thread... work really needs to stop getting in the way of Christmas business!

In store stocking fillers;

Tesco had cheerleader style pom pom's down to £1, matching batons for 50p, packs of six bubbles 50p, craft sets from 25p and boxes of duplo for £12.50.

Sainsburys had colouring books from 30p to 60p (originally £2-£3).

Poundland had lovely adult colouring books - I got a few patterned ones for DD(11).

snowgirl1 · 10/10/2015 18:38

Woodwaj where did you get your Jolly Christmas Postman book from please?

SpottyTeacakes · 10/10/2015 18:54

Picked up my molton brown order, really pleased so thank you! Also pleased with my free hand wash it's much bigger than I expected

scrappydappydoo · 10/10/2015 18:56

Not sure if this has mentioned but Hobbycraft have this sewing machine for £12.50.

EnglishRose1320 · 10/10/2015 18:56

Showgirl the book people have the jolly Christmas postman for £4.99 atm and quite often have discount codes as well.

For the person who had a dc who loved the ocean, do you have the book flotsam? It's a picture book without words and the pictures are amazing, I have used it in schools with children aged 7-11 and they all loved it.

ihatethecold · 10/10/2015 19:10

Can someone please give me the Whittard code?

Ilikesweetpeas · 10/10/2015 19:16

So pleased with my dotcom gift shop order which arrived today. The set of 3 Christmas tins are lovely!
Has anyone seen any offers on Lego? It's for a 5 year old. Looking to spend about £15, ideally less!
Also, anyone got ideas for a 10 year old boy- I have now idea what they like at that age! Thank you

RJnomaaaaaargh · 10/10/2015 19:18

I've done another Milton brown order - I've reordered the ones I ordered for dd. my second and third orders are still pending in PayPal. They're in my mb account as processing but I've decided to risk a collect from store order. Hoping it's ready by Wednesday when I'm in Glasgow :-s Now, if the original mail order turns up what do I do?!

woodwaj · 10/10/2015 19:24

snowgirl that was amazon but I think its gone up to £4.99 now. Still brilliant though.

ihate I think the code is HOTCHOC If I remember right

woodwaj · 10/10/2015 19:26

sweetpeas have you considered a boots 3 for 2? Something Marvel for the 10 year old perhaps and I'm sure they have some lego/duplo for the younger boy? Then maybe something free for yourself Wink

Ilikesweetpeas · 10/10/2015 19:40

Woodwaj thanks, I hadn't thought of that. Only tend to think of Boots 3 for 2 for gift sets but I'll take a look at toys too

ChipperNipper · 10/10/2015 19:43

Ilikesweetpeas - What else did you order from dotcomgiftshop that you liked?

ChipperNipper · 10/10/2015 19:46

I like the mugs and spoons from whitard but can't justify spending that much on cups just for dd1 and dd1.

Anyone know where I can get cups with spoon holders cheaper?

Ilikesweetpeas · 10/10/2015 19:52

ChipperNipper the pipe cleaner make your own decorations sets were good, £1 each- ordered them for party bag gifts for DD's December birthday, also a Christmas craft peg set and various Christmas cardboard cake boxes / cases. Thought that with free delivery they were good value- basically I looked though the sale section! Also got a couple of the flowery rucksacks and matching pencils as gifts for friends' children. The rucksacks are small but ideal size for under sevens. Hope this helps!

ihatethecold · 10/10/2015 19:57

Phew. Just checked out Whittard website.
I'd have to spend £24 on hot choc to get 2 mugs with spoons!!!
Bit pricey!

woodwaj · 10/10/2015 19:58

I love these mug and spoons! (They have different styles)

waitrosefizz · 10/10/2015 20:12

Anorak fox doorstop £4.25 with free delivery! Quite delighted Grin

rosieliveson1 · 10/10/2015 20:34

The mugs are £7 each without buying the hot chocolate

Littlemousewithcloggson · 10/10/2015 20:35

Friendship book 2016 is down to £3.99 on Amazon. We all buy token presents for grand parents from the kids ( no presents for any other adults ) and they love reading the thought/message for the day so it's a great stocking filler if anyone is stuck for ideas

IAmAPaleontologist · 10/10/2015 20:44

The hot chocolate is rather lovely though, if you have a chocolate snob then it is worth it!

trixymalixy · 10/10/2015 20:52

I bought that hobby craft sewing machine Last year. It's total junk.

NaturalBlondeYeahRight · 10/10/2015 21:01

Glad you reminded me about the Boden voucher! Just got DN a fab horse t-shirt for £1.40 (mad on horses)
I hadn't even thought to look for kids as mine are teens now, let's face it £10 doesn't go very far in the adults section.

caker · 10/10/2015 21:18

Admiral or English Rose, how do you get free delivery for Barefoot Books? As it says £2.99 for delivery when I put my order in. Thanks.
