I'm still trying to figure out how I can safely have a christmas tree at all in the same house as a newly crawling 9 month old . I will find a way (and gaudy multicoloured fairy lights too). I may coordinate yogurt stains on the sofa with the puree on the carpet...
Seriously though, a christmas makeover is a lovely idea, but I had no idea that anyone actually did it for real!

Bikebug - we solved that one by putting the Christmas tree in the playpen - DS would never stay in there for more than 30 seconds anyway, so at least we got some use out of it that way

Surely that's not what sort of trim they meant?!

Joolstoo · 05/12/2006 13:51

I much prefer warm colours whatever the season

not a make over as such, i completely kit out the living room with decs- huge tree, lights, tinsel, cards everywhere the works. put a few ceiling deccies in the dining room with lights in the windows and a couple of ceiling decs in kitchen and a wreath on front door. other than that the only thing i do is move some furniture to make room for the tree, oh and i have loads of winnie the pooh ornaments with xmas theme so they come out too

redbullandbump · 05/12/2006 17:28

its a tradition in our house to do the tree gold, red and sparkly white, and things ds has made from school
