For your family members, I mean your siblings and your in-laws.

Is £7 per couple being really mean?

Even that is stretching my money to the limit, a lot of my stuff will be homemade.

Please let me know what your budgets are, I can't get any sense out of anyone at work (they said £25 a couple [hmmm]. No way can I afford that, not a chance.

i spent between £5-10 on each adult.

i normally do £10 each or £15 for a couple
but you have to live in your budget

go to m&s they have lovely sets (got some great games) all £5 each and its 3 for 2

We just buy for the children. Buy for parents at about £20 per person.
For £10 you can get a bottle of champagne. (sainsburys have some on offer at half price)

we have huge family so its £5 per child and £5-10 per couple.woolworths always have good deals on.oh,and we do lots of homemade,the children paint plain eggcups etc.

my friends just given me a good idea
she has 4 sisters who are all married or have parners so thats 10 people to buy for
so they are doing a secret santa between them and spending £20 per present

Secret Santa is a fab idea. I'm going to recommend it for our family for next year.

I have lots of Godchildren and my DTS are far more important than buying stuff for the adults but I thought a token gift would be nice.

Am quite looking forward to seeing these faces when everyone opens the knitted stuff I have made them.

The champagne could be an idea. Thanks everyone.

I admit to feeling like a bit of a tightwad. I will be mortified if I get given huge, flashy presents, I will feel awful.

It's difficult for me NOT to buy presents for the adults because my sisters don't have any children and buy presents for all of mine plus me and dh - so I always feel obliged to get them something nice to redress the balance.... On dh's side we only do the children though.

I dont buy for people just because we are related. I used to but I dont anymore. I just buy for the ones I really like and that way I can spend more on them.

To be honest everyone else is happy with that too because they dont have to buy for me now either.

It takes a lot of stress out of the christmas shopping
