Hello all,

Hopefully the second message on the thread will contain a list of potentially useful links. I haven't checked through all of last years useful links so if I've missed any good ones please let me know and I'll amend.

I'll do my best to keep it updated with each new thread.

DD was watching some kind of Disney Christmas cartoon this morning so I'm feeling rather festive today :)

Arghh - I need to spend 23p on Amazon to get free delivery - any suggestions?

AndDeepBreath · 12/09/2015 11:52

Scrappy, this might help?

Particularly if you like guitar strings, apparently Hmm

I've had this book on a camel camel camel price drop alert for ages and it's finally dropped to half price at £10. It looks really lovely and a great gift for a variety of aged children. Will give you feedback on what it's like when it arrives on Monday.

That book looks gorgeous Reastie.
I'm really tempted to buy it even though DD is way too young!

Reastie · 12/09/2015 21:05

It's at its lowest price ever according to camel camel camel..... Just saying Wink

Noticed some equestria dolls at around ten pounds in B and M today. They looked as if they had a lot of good stuff but I had the kids with me.

scrappydappydoo · 12/09/2015 21:48

Thanks and deep breath - I just opted for a book in the end

GloGirl · 12/09/2015 21:53

Margarita, tesco club card helpline are quite good, try them

saladfingers · 12/09/2015 22:30

The day the crayons quit...a gorgeous picture book,( loved by my kids -8,7,6), is better than half price on Amazon at the moment at £3.14

Loki17 · 13/09/2015 07:40

What is the going rate for a kids make up set? I've found a couple on Amazon for between £10 and £20.Id like a bargain nut can't seem to find many sets.

Loki17 · 13/09/2015 07:40

But ^

margaritasbythesea · 13/09/2015 08:00

The L'Occitane code in the OP has expired.

If anyone has another one for free stuff, I would be very grateful!

BeamingBrenda · 13/09/2015 08:39

Does anyone know if motion sand or kenetic sand is worth the money?

margaritasbythesea · 13/09/2015 08:47

Oh, and thankyou glogirl. i will.

DinosaursRoar · 13/09/2015 09:10

Just found this wooden toy guitar (the pink is still full price)

Will I really regret buying this for 2 year old DD around the 28th December?!

RatOnnaStick · 13/09/2015 09:16

Park Promotions is having a clearance sale if anyone needs decent Denby cookware for christmas.

I could do with some Thomas Take n Play sets for DS2. We have a million trains but no set to use them with so if anyone sees a good deal I would be ever so grateful.

lazzaroo · 13/09/2015 09:30

Thank you for the book tip off Reastie. It's also £10 on the book depository, free delivery. Have just ordered. The day the crayons quit is also just over £3 on that site.

Scaredycat3000 · 13/09/2015 09:55

We ordered the Playmobil dragon advent calender £10 it's very nice with a card game in it and also ordered the Playmobil dragon grab bag £2.42 for their stockings. Really pleased with those, both found from this thread, so thank you.

Nc19999992 · 13/09/2015 10:06

What are people doing about the minimum spend on Amazon? The £20 for free delivery is putting me off :/

itsonlysubterfuge · 13/09/2015 10:09

Beaming I have played with the sand and both DD(3) and I found it really fun, plus if it's spilled it really is just like sand and can be vacuumed. They have some cheap little tubs of it at poundland sometimes, it's not as good as the name brand stuff and it dyes your hand, but it might be worth looking so you can check it out for yourself. I'm not sure what price you are looking at, but it is very fun to play with.

Scaredycat3000 · 13/09/2015 10:32

Not everything has the minimum £20 spend. I ordered Rivetz Pterodactyl £6 at the time by it's self without £20 min with Amazon prime. I needed a new memory card, but hung off until I had a twitch with the playmobil dragons so ordered all then. The advent calenders aren't add on ether. If it doesn't say add on you don't have a minimum spend.

candykane25 · 13/09/2015 10:42

I have an amazon wish list I have named Add Ons so if I am spending £20 anyway I will look at my add on list.
But I look for Free Delivery items which don't have £20 minimum spend, and also I have Prime.

daddykyller · 13/09/2015 13:56

scrappydappydoo
If you're ordering from Amazon and need something small to make the order up for the free delivery.
This is a good place to start. Nearly 700 items under a fiver - many of them just a few pence (sort the list lowest to highest to see the cheapest first)

In other news... The Entertainer Toy Shop have a Flash Sale on - today only (I think)

And on ebay you can get something slightly different to those Hickies shoe lace things that people have been raving about. - but instead of over a tenner, these ones are just 99p :)
