Definitely Sleeping Queens card game by Gamewright. My dd (soon 7) loves it and has done so since around 5 (it says from 8yo but don't mind that). You could also look at the card game Love Letter, it is also recommended from 8yo I think, but we have introduced it to children from 6 or so and it works well. Children who have played it at our house have asked for a copy of their own afterwards!
Magnatiles - pricey but fantastic joint present! My dc received their first set of 100 4 years ago. We now have around 400 and they are definitely our most used toy (even for ds who is soon 10). Kids of all ages are drawn to them, they build castles, mazes, towers, zoos etc and populate/furnish them with eg playmobil or lego or hexbugs... Wonderful versatile toy! Get the clear ones!
Finally, playsilks! We are not particularly waldorfy or anything, but these have gotten so much playtime! We are currently living overseas for five months, and have brought very few toys, but my dd gets so much mileage out of the playsilks she has brought along. Landscapes (sand, sea, grass...) for playmobil/lego, blankets for building dens, brilliant for dress-up... Like magnatiles, these are pricey but have great play value and longevity. There is something about the airy, floaty feel of them that seems to be very inspiring/attractive... We have a handful of smaller ones and two huge ones (rainbow and night sky).
Sorry for the evangelical tone, but these would be my suggestions!
