B****r! Waited to order presents now they are out of stock....

I waited to order an xbox 360 from play.com for DH because I wanted to make sure it arrived on a day he wasn't at home. Now that offer (game and extra controller thrown in for £299) is out of stock. Do I look for an alternative elsewhere? It was the best offer I found. Or do I wait and see if it comes back in stock.

Same thing has happened with DS - was going to get him a nintendo from Toysrus and virtually all their offers seem to be out of stock now. Is it just they've had a rush over the weekend and will get more or should I grab while I can from elsewhere.

B**r - thought I was on top of things and now chaos reigns again. More hours spent trawlling the net.

I'm ever so pleased you got it sorted Katherine, at the end of the day £50 not to be sniffed at...

Can you beleive I'm still battling with this. Item still not processed. It says the table tennis game is "completely shipped". Whaever that means - someone who didn't like the game with a sense of humour! and the racing game and extra wireless controller pack it says "Item deleted - we are trying to obtain this item from alternate sources "....

Why is it so hard to just order something.
Am I doomed?

Hmm..maybe too late to tell you this. Tesco do the full xbox caboodle for £259.00+£1.69 delivery. This is £20 cheaper than any one else.

Would not touch Amazon, after they cancelled ds's xbox order last year 6 days before Xmas. They are CRAP CRAP CRAP, and ruined ds's xmas.

Tesco are better and quicker. Xbox ordered Monday, arrived Tuesday.

Well the saga drags on and on and on and on....
Would be easier just to divorce DH!

HMV sat on my order for a week then sent out the table tennis game!!!!!!

I was really worried that it said the game and controller pack were deleted and they were "trying to source them elsewhere" so I phoned up. I said I didn't mind waiting if I had to but was there a chance they wouldn't be able to get them. All the chap said was that 400+ people in the queue before me were probably wondering the same thing and he couldn't say but I wouldn't be charged until the order was dispatched. I said but now I had a game I didn't want and he said I'd only be charged £10 for it. Felt really P**ed off by this conversation so I decided to cancel the order even though it will "cost" me £10.

I've had a look on play.com again and they've got a new pack out on Friday which I can preorder which is the same as the HMV pack but also includes arcade games and is £10 cheeper. Hmmm think someone is trying to tell me something.

So I've ordered from play.com. Just hope but some cruel twist I don't end up with 2!

Not impressed with HMV AT ALL.
