If your dd is 5 or 6... what's her main present going to be?

I was going to buy dd1 a digital camera, but have changed my mind now.

Can't think what to get her now.

She wants a sticker maker and "surprises".

She has a bike and a doll's house and all sorts of other toys, but she's not actually that bothered with toys, is more into crafty things after school.

Any good suggestions?

How about a cross-stitch kit from somewhere like Daisy Designs?

(dd's main present is probably going to be Baby Chou Chou(?). Very expensive for a doll imo, but seeing as daddy broke her other dolly a while ago....)

TeeCee, I forgot to say the playhouse etc sounds fab - right up my dd's street!

My 5yo dd2 is getting a digital camera (Woolworth's £35 in sale). and an ice cream maker toy.

can't really think of anything for 6yo dd1. She isn't into dolls or girly things. DP has got her a microscope, she loves bugs and small creatures. am wondering about a toy potter's wheel - has anyone got one?

dd was 5 in september
interesting to read other people;s ideas!
dd's main present is the elc cd player pink, natch! she did have one that broke so we've been putting off replacing it until Christmas!
we've had a sticker maker before and they are a bit gimmicky imo - broke after a few uses and I took it back ( last year)

what about getting a largish plastic box and filling it up with craft supplies? funky scissors, sugar paper, sequins, that sort of thing. we're also getting dd some wooden boxes that she can paint herself to store some of her arts/crafts stuff - from IKea.

DD1 who is 5 3/4 is going to get a Dora the Explorer castle with all the furniture. That's it for this year. More than enough! Last year she got the Fifi house and still plays with it now so I think Dora will be a hit. DD2 can play with Fifi.

DD2 who is 6 is getting a CD player and some audio books for her room and a planetarium. She is very into the night sky at the moment so let's hope this thing works. Last year she had a Fur Real puppy but she has such a vast collection of animals now if she gets any more there will be no room in the bed for her.
I have also got her a knit your own scarf set in the hopes that my mum will teach her to knit as I am not all that good.

Dd2 is 5 and she is getting one of those egg shaped chairs from Ikea that has a pull down blind for hiding in.Don't really need any big toys and she asks for everything but not a lot that we haven't already got some version of.
