9 Yr old DS1. What can i get him that he will play with?

Ive already got him an mp3 player but i want to find something he will sit and play with. He has enough k'nex/lego.
He likes pokemon and not into the normal star wars/harry potter type chracters.
Any ideas?

Stop watch (but be prepared to be timed in the loo!)
Stilts (big Tescos have them for about £15
A big aerobic ball. My dc have one and play with it a lot.
Something musical - a mouth organ or a penny whistle and a book about how to play it. (and earplugs for you and dp!)

My dd (nearly 3) is MUCH easier to buy for .... - although we may need to extend the house to accommodate all her gear!
