i can't work out whether they are worth it or not. also, if one bulb goes out, can you replace it singly. does the whole branch go out . they only come with a one yr guarantee, so by next xmas we will be stuffed.

we bought a pre-lit tree a couple of years ago in the januray sales and i wouldnt go back to an ordinary one now. it looks lovely. On the one that we got if a light goes out then you just have to change an individual bulb and all the rest stay lit so you dont have to play find the blown light bulb.

thanks corinna - sounds like it's worth the investment then. 'spose the only disadvantage is you can't have flashing bulbs (which may be a blessing)

we bought a Pre-lit tree last year. Once my toddler had finished bashing all the baubles out of it, a complete branch of lights blew. We put it away like it lastyear so my hubby has a long job ahead of him in early December!!!

eh?

do the lights grow with the tree or somthing?

They're not fake are they?

I don't think they're worth the money - the fun of letting the children help with decorating the tree is MUCH more worth it IMO.

Haven't had one of these, so don't know if they are worth the money.

It would stop the problem where our Christmas tree is only decorated two thirds of the way up because that's how high the children can reach!

Having it pre-lit would spoil all the fun a bit though, IMO, although I appreciate that some people prefer not to have a tree that looks like the 'Festive Fun Fairy' has just vomited all over it! (My children have yet to learn that "less is more!")

Having said that, my eldest is almost as tall as me now, so we may even get a star on the top of the tree this year!

Bumping as my post was so spectacularly unhelpful!
