Here, it was the 12p pocket packs of tissues from Home Bargains and their own nail polishes (Frozen ones from Poundland).

They had socks/knicks/choc/sports bottle and a mini lego set as well.

Pez sweets in dispenser!

Levantine · 29/12/2014 22:10

Also packet of popcorn kernels went down well. In fact all food things for my 8yo, he was also chuffed with some olives in a sachet

MrsSnail · 29/12/2014 22:10

Light up octopuses for the bath, small tub of bracket making beads and a chocolate reindeer. The big present of a bike has been largely ignored :(

NowBringUsSomeFuzzpiggyPudding · 29/12/2014 22:12

Lego mixels! They built theirs straight away, and DS barely let go of his for the entire day even when he got all his other presents.

Worry dolls also went down really well except they keep getting lost in their beds!

Dd 7:
Gymnastics ribbon - £2 eBay China
Choc coins (obvs)
Cheap girlie body spray (gah her bedroom stinks now!)
Changing colour pens
Bath bomb from lush
Confused
She loves and has used everything she got for Christmas Grin

Ds 8:
Nerf gun foam pellets
Choc coins

These are the only two things (out of everything - not just stockings) that he's bothered with.... Has not opened:

  • gruesome science kit
  • airfix kit
  • Lego set
  • board game
  • and about 5 other things

It all sits in their boxes heaped in his room - why do I bother! Hmm

Vvvoom · 29/12/2014 22:16

Dd2 (7) - rattle magnets (two oval magnets that crack together when you throw them into air) and invisible ink pen

Dd1 (10) Barry M nail art pens in black and white

Ds1 (15) new watch strap

They all liked the bags of mini biscuits and the hot chocolate stirrers.

All the cheap direct-from-China fillers recommended on mumsnet were too rubbishy to include, bar the finger lights (which are great).

lucysmam · 29/12/2014 22:33

Grin some of these have made me giggle...the satsuma and choc coin eaten with the wrapper on and best ever present being a satsuma at bed time especially!

ZeVite (I think?!) once the initial excitement wore off, the dresses went down very well. They've both been wearing them constantly with their sparkly heels (little heels). Need to take dd1's in though -she seems to be shrinking since I made them Confused

steppeupunderthemisletoe · 29/12/2014 22:53

dd1 (9) toothless soft toy
dd2 (7) wordsearch book

ds (12) chocolate

Opheliabumps · 29/12/2014 23:01

DS loved his Inflatable dinosaur and minecraft cuddlies (enderman and sheep), DD's favourites were her wooden puzzle where you fit loads of triangles into a square frame, her lip balm and nail stickers.

goldenlilliesdaffodillies · 30/12/2014 18:31

DS 5 loved his Batman earphones which I bought half price in a sale last christmas. He also loved his Darth Vader toothbrush. He was not impressed with his satsuma!

DD12 loved her personalised Nutella (got labels from ebay).

ZeViteVitchofCwismas · 01/01/2015 16:06

They've both been wearing them constantly with their sparkly heels (little heels) wonderful Smile very very lucky girls!

oneofthosedays · 01/01/2015 17:30

DS (7) loved these sticky men that do somersaults down the door/any smooth surface, joke chewing gum that snaps your finger when you try and take one and also his giant choc coin.

DD (11) was her headphones with a zip on the wires so they don't get tangles, giant choc coin and her little mermaid blu-ray.

lucysmam · 01/01/2015 18:51

oneof, where are the headphones from please? My dd could do with some new ones Smile

DCs have been playing their top trumps every single day. They've got into the habit of climbing into DD's bed each night and playing before sleep, alternating who's set they use :) I'm glad I scoured eBay as I got two retired sets - used but brilliant condition.

I've already decided on a stocking filler for next year if I can get hold of them - a mini (40pc) wentworth jigsaw. Hadn't realised they did mini ones but they tried some at our friends' house. If I can get some of paintings they like then even better!

fuzzpig · 03/01/2015 11:29

Oh also the DVDs they got in their stockings - DD got Kiki's delivery service, and DS got a little einsteins one - pyramid theme as their main gift from Santa was a playmobil pyramid. Both DVDs very well received.

MILLYmo0se · 03/01/2015 14:11

mrscakes where did you get the headtorch ? DD is obsessed with her dads but doesnt fit her

MrsCakesPrecognition · 03/01/2015 14:24

I'm not sure if it came from Poundland or 99p stores.
