A packet of paper!!

We went to a party on Christmas Eve and my boys (6&3) were given a big pack of different types of paper each. It has completely overshadowed every other present and has kept them busy since Christmas Day. I also have no space left to stick up more pictures. What was everyone else's biggest hit?

dd's 6 and 2 it was the tent, fibre optic lights and pokemon toys Grin

Lego has been pretty much ignored except the basic bricks, doesn't want to build the sets yet...

PTAblues · 28/12/2014 19:31

Dixit here too. We've played it about 5 times since Christmas day with no fall outs. It's unheard of.

DS1 (10) is his table football/pool/hockey/table tennis thing. It's just a small one that was cheap but he loves it and has played with it a lot. His dad and little brother have been having a great old time with it too. Kept them all out my hair! Xmas Grin

DS2 (7) loves his Sasquatch and Yeti figures. Lots of conversations about which is scarier/would win in a fight/could beat King Kong.

This year I bought a lot less but chose more carefully so they seem happy with everything.

dingit · 28/12/2014 19:38

Not sure about this year, but last year, dd loved her pack of £1.99 post it notes.

DS1 is in love with his ikea kitchen and accessories, especially the pots and pans, second favourite are his stickle bricks.

DS2 loves his rocker from M&P and surprisingly is really sturdy on it at 7m Grin

DD2 (8) Book on how to draw comics and tank of fake jellyfish.
DS (2) £4 bus from Wilkos! If he puts it down it's "Where bus? Where bus? There you are bus!"
Also loves his Ikea kitchen :)

omama · 28/12/2014 20:39

Highlight of ds (4) christmas day was a £3 self inflating whoopee cushion! Of course his planes, light saber & lego were also big hits Grin

scaryg · 28/12/2014 20:45

DD (3) has spent most of her time playing with a sheet of blue tissue paper that was in a hamper I received. It's mainly been a cloak and a blanket for her big sister and bears.

dietcokeisgreat · 28/12/2014 20:52

220 piece marble run + 50 extra marbles. Almost slipped over multilpe times already.

trilbydoll · 28/12/2014 20:56

Kitchen from Ikea and plastic food. Despite my horror at mixing plastic food with the wooden kitchen, DD doesn't seem to care. She is only 19mo, I am hoping she will get a few years use out of it.

New bike here - not exactly unexpected but I'm relieved he loves it so much.

The Spurs annual was pretty popular too.

Least popular was a complex and intimidating looking game which I won't name as it would out me instantly as I should think about 5 people worldwide have bought it in the past

LePetitMarseillais · 29/12/2014 08:09

Wait it's by Usborne(dtwin 1 had it),Waterstones had loads. Had also had Klutz How To Draw Funny which is good too.

Successes here were

dtwins 1(11) Lego Technic motors, wooden Cubebot, Beano annual and his Battleships game(has been played with daily)

Dtwins 2(11) adored his genuine Rainbow loom bands, storage box and finger loom and the massive pile of books he had(had his nose in the new Michael Morpurgo since opening).

Dd (nearly 10) loved her crack your own Geodes set and Sylvanian ambulance.

All adored their Magic Milkshake straws and the gps,dtwin1,dp and I loved the Ticket to Ride game.

Big plastic dinosaur! It has been cuddled, kissed, fed chips and juice, taken into bed. It is one loved and cherished T.Rex.
Should I consider buying a secret spare one now in case it ever gets lost?
